Well, my processor, however, my whole computer is crap.

I have:-

An Intel Core2Duo Dual Core @ 1.8 Ghz
An nVidia 8500 GT w/ 1GB
A 280GB HDD @ 5400RPM
A 330w PSU
A stock heatsink
A random stock Dell MoBo
2GB DDR2 RAM @ 1333Mhz

I hate my computer...

I'm playing on a laptop which has an on-board video card, so go figure =(

But my computer after it comes back from repairs (and I'm also installing a SSD Harddrive) will keep on being to play anything on the highest graphic settings.

Everything but my video card is four years old. I can still run every game I own at 60 fps besides BFBC2 because it's crap, but I need a new processor and RAM to not bottleneck my GPU.

Will also need a new mobo to use a decent CPU.

My problem?
dust.
With my quad-core and 8 ram, I can run almost everything.
the graphic card can improve, but it can still run crisis one on ultra.
I have 1 tera for usual storage (When a friend of mine changes computers, he gives me his spare parts ^^), and 500GB are partitoned for Ubuntu, while the other 500 are going to windows 7.
Now, here in Mexico dust is just... unbearable. It just owns my computer, and stays there waiting, just waiting for me to clean it up...

Graphics card is the weakest link, but I'm happy with what it can do (ATI Radeon 4650 HD). Plays any game that I've tried perfectly smoothly at 1920*1080 at reasonable level of detail, so I don't need to upgrade it yet.

That said, I deliberately bought a lower-spec graphics card than mobo or CPU, 'cos graphics cards are the easiest of those component to upgrade.

Realistically, it's not going to be worth upgrading graphics cards until I move to win7, 'cos my current one handles DirectX9 just fine.

My computer is pretty good, I have a quad core proc, but I need to upgrade the Geforce 8800 GT vid card. It's getting pretty old, but it still works well for most games.

it was a tough call between
"Hard Drive"
And
"Pfft, my gaming rig can handle anything"

but...the hard drive thing is a minor complaint...it feels like I fill up hard drives like I'm stockpiling data in case the internet explodes.......[small/]give it time[/small]

But it's "Pfft, my gaming rig can handle anything" for me

In my gaming rig, probably the graphics card, although it isn't too shabby. 3.3 GHz quad core i5 processor, 8 GB DDR 3 RAM, 2TB hard drive, and a GeForce 9600 GT graphics processor. I can run most games on high graphics settings though, so no complaints here.

Windows 7 Home Edition.

Every game is crashing on me, and by all means I should be fine

i7 Quad Core 2.2 GHz able to overclock to 3.30 GHz
8 Gbs of ram
Radion HD 6770 HD 2 Gbs (admittedly not the best graphics card but it shouldn't have any problems.)

Hoping my upgrade to professional will fix all that.

Man, that killed my last power supply. If your PC is on the floor and has the power supply at the bottom of the case, I strongly recommend sticking it up on a couple of bricks or something. Will make a huge difference!

Video card by ages. Most of my games run at 720x480 because it just can't handle higher resolutions. Source games can reach to my native 1680x1050 sometimes, but only on minimum settings.

I don't have a computer but this made me remember something funny my girlfriend (who works in IT) once told me:
At her work they have an, official, acronym: PEBKAC
It stands for Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair.
Apparently that's one of the most common faults :p

my entire PC is a outdated POS it can just handle Crysis if I dial the graphics down all the way.
I am planning to replace her around my birthday.
here are her specs:
Windows 7 HP
3X 1TB HDD (I think the only part that was produced after 2009 not counting the case)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53GHz
3.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz
MSI Boston (Socket 775) MOBO running Phoenix BIOS version 5.10
and I,m planning to get this system as a replacement:

Windows 7. It's a good program, but it can't play any games made before Vista without lagging, crashing, or screen tearing. I'm trying to figure out a way to play without having to use an emulator, but I'm not much of a software guy.

My power supply. It's only 700 W, so it'll probably bite the dust before anything else.
I'm sorry, what? 700W is a pretty good PSU and why should the wattage determine when it will kick the bucket? Depending on how it was built is the only factor that affects its lifespan and most modern PSUs are built to go for 100,000 hours (basically ten years) anyway.
Actually, the time until a PSU bites the dust is mostly dependent on how much dust it bites per year... :)

But sure, 700W should be more than enough for a good system. I'm running a 550W and it's plenty for a decent gaming rig.

According to the Windows rating thing, it's the hard disk. That's obviously bullshit though, because I only have 2GB of RAM and that's rated as the strongest point of the PC.
So yeah, the RAM.

Definitely my graphics card. It's a Radeon HD 6570, which manages to run almost everything I play on high/very high, but still can't run some games (like Just Cause 2 or Metro 2033) very well on anything higher than medium. Probably gonna upgrade that soon.
By comparison, my processor's a Phenom II 1055t x6 2.80ghz, and my ram's 8gb ddr3, which I don't think I'll need to upgrade for a while.
I'm using a 5770, and it still runs everything like a charm.

My HDD.
In that windows index thingy, it's 5.9, while everything else is over 7.
Now, this could be solved with an SDD, but they're so expensive, especially te big ones.
