Poll: Your Main Weapon

I use rifles...all kinds.

On F'out 3, the Hunting rifle or Lincoln's repeater or plasma/laser rifles

On Bioshock, the assault rifle type gun

On Half life 2...well...I use the AR2. kinda a rifle.

I love having a shotgun around, but I'll keep an assault rifle as backup, in case they're too far away.

I'll take a semi-auto with an attachable scope, maybe something like an M21 or an M14 - big enough round to put down a person at decent range, acceptable rate of fire, and a good weapon to have in the case of Zombie attack (of which I am ever fearful).

If given the option (and it's not impractical in the given situation) I'll default to a Sniper weapon of some kind. The way I see it, I'll live longer if they can't shoot back

i said superweapon. although technically i favor the sniper. im saying this because:
My sniper is:
A sniper rifle
A chainsaw
A pair of daggers
able to call down 4 different superweapons (Ion cannon, Sustained Ion blast, a beam that teleports whatever it impacts to a realm of infinite torment, and a Sphere of Nuetronium that can destroy planets)
An M-60
A mass Driver (rail gun for you tards who dont know what a Magnetic propulsion cannon is properly named) (technically how it fires as a sniper/M-60)
A 40mm Grenade Launcher

Because it had my favorite weapon of all time on it. the MASS DRIVER and it was also a SNIPER RIFLE and you pwned teh n00bs with it.

The game is $2.00 now and its worth it lol

I usually have the melee weapon out to prevent wasting ammo. If, however, it turns out I need a gun, I always have a fully loaded automatic on me.

guns are usually my choice. i'm not great at the distinctions between different types.

i'll go with a scythe if they have it though.

That is the best made gun in existence.. its bullets per second is amazing with no recoil. I totally agree, +friend!... why aren't sub-machineguns on the list anyways?

a Mass Driver uses magnetism to accelerate rounds to speeds 100s of times faster then simple explosive cartridges. it works as a sniper rifle because the rounds fly far straiter (lower drag) then when they are fired from say, a regular .50c rifle or a 250mm cannon. the smooth rounds that all guns fire now are unnecessary, and you can fire things like razor blades or rounds that when they leave a barrel, open into large X shaped blades. ingame Mass drivers/rail guns fire 1mm tubes at the target

how about a fully automatic 12gauge shotgun that can also shoot mini rockets and have 0 recoil?
