Let's see....Define "superweapon".
If we're talking nuclear level or greater, as intimidating as the things are, not so practical on a local level. So, more likely, the Special Weapon/Device. Anything that can do something useful that's also completely unexpected (gravity gun, portable tesla coils, cloaking device etc.) is right up my alley. I love the feeling of not being "lowered" to use regular weapons. Call me elitist, but it's just so much cooler that way.

I can honestly agree it's the most cowardly, boring and weak arse weapon to use as a main, but at the same time, I just love the clean kills, hearing the agonised screaming of people shouting 'noob!' down thier headsets after you just removed thier head from thier shoulders from half/a whole map away.
And for pvm it's just fun fun fun =]

Shotgun - when you absolutely, positively need to kill every single motherf*cker in the whole level.
I use rifles...all kinds.
On F'out 3, the Hunting rifle or Lincoln's repeater or plasma/laser rifles
On Bioshock, the assault rifle type gun
On Half life 2...well...I use the AR2. kinda a rifle.

I'll take a semi-auto with an attachable scope, maybe something like an M21 or an M14 - big enough round to put down a person at decent range, acceptable rate of fire, and a good weapon to have in the case of Zombie attack (of which I am ever fearful).
Funny thing i usally go with spartan laser but im getting into the sniper. (it's funny coz i say so)
I usually have the melee weapon out to prevent wasting ammo. If, however, it turns out I need a gun, I always have a fully loaded automatic on me.
