I think I would but probably I'd do a special personal interest post like some people do (TimeLord did a rather good one about fish custard for his 1000th post as I recall in honour of the 1000th), possibly I'll do a review or similar. I think that if you've managed to achive your Morpheus Matrix badge as well as reach 1000 that is something to be proud of.

Ok so it's not a huge deal what number you happen to reach but it's nice to know there's seasoned members of this fair community out in the ether.

Congrats on the 1000th post by the way! :)

when I did it, I did a little dance, but none of you got to see it. I didn't even realize when I hit 2k so I didn't do anything for that.

No, I did not. If I can somehow dig up the effort to give a crap, I might do something for the 5000th or 10000th post. Maybe. Don't hold me to it. It's something I really couldn't care less about.

Not so much celebrate as, perhapse, just silently congratulate myself. I won't throw a party but I'll give myself an internal high five. that count?

Yes, sort of. I finished my review of Game Dogs at around 970 posts, then decided to hold it off until I got to 1000. It wasn't really any different to my other reviews, apart from the title.
Was a good review though :) Wonder what is happening to Gamedogs, I remember season 2 was announced and then that was it. (do not mistake this for me actually wanting that show back...)

I celebrated my 1000th post with a horrid review of the escapist, I mean it was terrible. I didn't think at all during it and it has put me off doing another review for about 5 months now. For me I felt like once I had got 1000th posts I was more part of the community, turns out I wasn't at all. That just kind of happens naturally.

I didn't celebrate mine. So many people here are well past 1000 that it seems like a bit of a low milestone.

I don't celebrate post counts because their values are skewed. Example in question;

I didn't celebrate it, because it is quite common.
Exactly, try getting 15K, then celebrate.
This guys post count. It's insane, especially compared to his join date, and clearly does not reflect his value as a poster because the majority of his posts are in Forum Games. Any post in Forum Games has no value. That is not up for debate. But yet, it adds to post count.

(Not to say you're not a valuable poster, Sleek, just that posting so much in Forum Games makes your post count look far more impressive than it should be. Again, that's not specifically you, that's the majority of Forum Game posters)

Of course, my ideal solution would be to disable post counts in Forum Games. That way posters who have genuinely large counts from boards with worth aren't overshadowed in count by people who sit and post in moronic "Rate the user above you" threads all day.

But anyway, happy 1000, heres to many more 1000s, etc.

Dude, that was a whole 5 months and 7 days ago! I can't remember that long ago. I don't think I did though. Although I do remember that the same day I made 1,000 posts was the same day I had been here a year and the same day I made my first thread.

I didn't celebrate it, I don't think I'll celebrate any of my posts.

I may celebrate my 9001th post, but if that ever does happen...

I thoroughly intended to celebrate, but I passed it without noticing. Same thing happened with my 4000th post.
