Can't grow a full on beard due to a bald patch on my chin D:

Opted instead for the Franz Josef, http://www.knowledgerush.com/wiki_image/8/89/Francis_Joseph_I.jpg

Will take a while though, but even after a month of growing it looks rather classy if I say so myself.

I was about to shave right now. I look like a dirty old hobo when I haven't shaved in three days.

Other men might grow a beard, sure. Like I care.

What women think about it? My female friends are curious what I look like if I had a beard. I look older when I have one. But it's so dirty!

Thank you, OP, you have just reminded me to go and shave!

I don't really like facial hair on younger people, like myself, but it definitely suits some older people. My dad, for instance, who is 46.

A nice mustache or nothing at all.

I much prefer the clean shaven look.

Now about the hair on top of your head...

I like facial hair, I just wish I could grow more than a mustache, and soul patch. So I shave every day, even though every girl I know says that I should never grow any facial hair. I dont care I all I want is a giant beard.

I grow a beard every couple of weeks and then shave it. it isn't because I want a beard, it is because I can't be arsed to shave every day.

I rock the Clint Eastwood unshaven look until it becomes "filthy hobo," then I wait a week and finally shave. But I don't shave, I just use a hair buzzer to shave back down to five o-clock shadow territory.

Right now I have a mustache. I don't really like them, but sometimes I feel like trying one for a week or two. This one's days are numbered.

I don't have a great deal of choice in the matter; if I wanted to be clean shaven I'd have to shave twice a day and that's too much work for me.

As it is, I maintain a 'burnside' beard, also known as 'friendly mutton chops'; that is to say, sideburns, tache, and most of a beard, but with a clean chin, cropped pretty close to my face, so it's not full-on nineteenth century.

The lasses I've asked, and/or gone out with have dug my beard, and I think it detracts from my slightly chubby jowels.

Depends. I am growing some at the moment, but I've been told I "have the right chin for it" by one of my girl friends.

Trim beard for me, but I also shave cheeks and neck.

But never clean shaven. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. I can't imagine myself without a beard anyway.

my boyfriend has a beard and although I was unsure at the start, probably cos I'm not used to blokes with beards in general, I now really like it.
This was the same with my girlfriend too. In fact, she usen't even like beards at all.

But there's no resisting the power of the beard. :D

I have a ginger beard so I have no soul. I have brown hair, but my beard is a reddish brown mix.

Sideburns, straight with no expanding, goatee, fairly long. Had soulpatch included but I shaved it off, now thinking about adding a stash.

I love my facialhair, and I think it's nice to have one as a men.
