Poll: Your "Pet" Genre?

What is that one genre of games you find yourself utterly and totally in love with? And what games are your favourite for this genre, and what games are you excited for within this genre? For me its WRPG, I eagerly await Skyrim and loved Oblivion.

JRPG's! I've loved them since I was a kid. My favourites include the Mana series and Final Fantasy IX. Not really excited for any new games, mainly because I have no idea what's coming out.

Music Games, Rock Band in particular. I'd rather be a pretend rockstar than a pretend soldier.

Yeah, Music games can do that, I allowed my Mother to use the Xbox to play Lips and other such games and then had to buy a new, slimline Xbox for myself when all the room I'd saved for DLCs was taken up by all songs, legions of them

Survival horror games are great, not that "shoot anything that moves" horror games, God no. There needs to be more survival horror games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent or the Penumbra series for different platforms rather than just for PC.

WRPG's though lately I've been having to play some older ones simply because many newer ones don't really appeal to me anymore.

I hesitate to call my pet genre JRPG's anymore.

I was a fan of them back with FF6, FF7, Suikoden, Grandia, etc.

These days its all ridiculous tidus clothing and insane plotlines. So.. JRPG's with the subcategory: (classic)

I voted other because I don't care if it has a J or a W in front of it, as long as it's an RPG.
Fallout 1&2, Etrian Odyssey 1,2&3 and The Dark Spire are some of my favourites.

I also like adventure games a lot, just mostly the older Sierra ones.

I get giddy when new strat games come out... specifically Total War series titles. But they're not really RTS's (being that weird hybrid of RTT/TBS). They kinda make me wish I was an insomniac...

Other than that, the only other game-type that never fails to get my attention is the third-person action adventure (inFamous and its ilk).
