T/FPS; favourites until this day: Q3A (great mechanics, great wepons, great voice-over, great maps, great modding capability, awesome in both multi- and single-player, and of course QUAD DAMAGE!!) for FPS, closely followed by UT classic (1000 points inst-gib ftw!) and Goldeneye 64 (no comments necessary) and Perfect Dark (title says it). when it comes it comes to m0ar-players online dakka, BF:V

best TPS is Max Payne. can't touch this. other - also great - TPSes come waaay behind it; it's the Baldur's Gate 2/Planescape: Torment of TPS

1. I wanted to see which branch of the RPG was more popular, without wanting to start some sort of flame war
2. I classify sandboxes and shooters as more of a game mechanic, example, Fallout 3 has a sandbox world and first person shooting
3. Action-Adventure is that very weird hybrid genre, apparently some people use it, as evidenced by the fact that 17 people have voted for it (I guess they were voting for the likes of Drakes Uncharted and Lara Croft)
4. Some WRPG fans really don't like JRPGs, conversely some JRPG fans really don't like WRPGs, it was just my attempt at addressing that issue
Chaos! Panic! What is this!?
a voice of reason, here, on our most beloved forum evar?

no, seriously, i think that sounds quite reasonable. also, someone certainly would've said something if you had thrown them both together, so i guess when it comes to RPGs there is no correct way to handle them ;)

Has to be western RPG, I loved Fallout 1,2,3 and New Vegas was also a fan of Oblivion and contrary to everyone else I actually enjoyed Alpha Protocal to an extent but did find it lacking.

I know. That's what I said, but I do feel that it was a very biased choice. What about the people who like playing fighting games (action), but despise playing FPSs. I feel there's a far greater conflict of gameplay over in that corner than between JRPGs and WRPGs (just to name an example).
