I wouldn't risk correcting a mistake or trying to change anything, but I'd re-live the good times and do my best to re-live the rest of my life onwards the exact same way - already knowing what will happen so I don't have to be sad, already knowing what's going to happen. That and I'd take a lotto ticket and remember the numbers so I can re-live the lottery, and correct my mistake of getting any number that isn't exactly correct.

Hell yes, I would use it to go back to my birth. I would then live out my life as a child prodigy; an enigma among my contemporaries. I suppose I would also go ahead and invent Youtube and Facebook while I was at it.

Investing advice, lottery numbers, sports outcomes, some other junk to help me and my family and I live better. Even if we aren't too hard up right now.

But the only "mistake" I would correct, would be outting my Dad when I found out he was gay. And let him come out on his own. This happened about 14 years ago, back when gay people were still beaten because it was "unacceptable". It caused me and my family a LOT of grief until homosexuality became accepted. I was 9, and I didn't really understand what gay really meant, or that it was considered "bad". It's really the only mistake I would correct.



But then, would I have to live those 14 years over again. At least I should be able to do a bit better in school.

Yes, I would. I would use it in a heartbeat. While it would make more sense saving it for later, I wish I was able to go back and correct a few things. Not so much to not do things that I did, but do things that I never did.

The key is to multitask. Find an issue that needs correcting, then find the lottery numbers for the week afterward. Make a change that improves your life AND get money? Sign me up!

Plus, you don't even have to lose the experience of the bad result. You did live it, after all. You still remember it. You just get to go back and try again.

The only question is if I would go back to last year and fix a minor issue (like a relationship), or go back a loooooong time and start again as a super-smart 4 year old. Maybe pick up the guitar at that point instead of waiting so long. The farther you go back, the more stuff you can fix. You'll just have to write down those lottery numbers and save the paper for a few years =)

one thing: back in P6 (sixth year of education in Scotland) this girl i had a crush on left. i would go back, slap my past self and say 'get over her.' you have no idea how much that fucked me up. butterfly effect.

I think I'd lock it up safe and keep it for just the right catastrophic moment, as long as I could keep my will saves in check to not blow it on something useless.

-The other theory is a very broad try life again with the experience I have now.
I'm scared of that one cause I can't imagine I'd keep my friends intact with that big an effective age gap.
But really It would probably be worth it, I'd take school seriously this time, there is some other personal things I'd look into along the way.

-Overall scared of the physics of the device, there is a lot of theories about just how much misery you have to create opportunities for to create good fortune.
I wouldn't use it for mass altering of core timeline. Most abusive thing I'd consider is likely a lottery or something.
I wouldn't stop points of history like 911 and stuff, not only would I fail to have the ability I think, I have no idea how that would end. If the above reallocation of misfortune happens to be a fact of probability then it would be for nothing anyways.

No, you go right now and talk to this girl. Tell her that you think she's adorable (hot and sexy sounds like you're trying to hard) and you'd really like to take her out to dinner. When she accepts (notice I said 'when' instead of 'if') take her somewhere nice, but not to expensive. Don't try to rush anything she'll just think you're in it to 'win it' if you read what I'm typing. Thats how you get the ladies it works everytime.

On an added note, it's always best to clean up real good, and she compliments you, thats when it's best to ask her.
