I wish "Axe" was in the choices. Because that's really the only actual weapon I have.

But since it wasn't an option, I went with Flame thrower. Mostly because it makes me a chance to be awesome before inevitably getting killed.

How many times has this question been asked? I bet it already beat "Would you do her?".

Well, since I'm already posting here, I'd say whatever is on hand. Mostly a grass trimmer, since it's convenient or just a broomstick.
If my neighbor is a zombie, I'd raid his house for guns and use those along with whatever I can salvage.

To add insult to injury, I would also use a zombie's arm to beat other zombies to more-death with it.

But, in all seriousness (not really) a machete is the best thing to have during a zombie apocalypse. It's lightweight, it doesn't need ammo nor reloading, it's quiet and it removes heads very easily.

And it's available from my tool shed at the moment. So I don't have to raid anyone's house for it.

Shotgun, even though it is a tad obvious, it should be effective.
That, and a Baseball Bat in case I run out of ammo.

A handgun with a single bullet. Since all zombies are equal, they are clearly commies; better dead than Red!

But seriously, I have no weapons training and I'd probably die anyways. Might as well avoid becoming a zombie and increasing the numbers of the horde.
Good god Commie zombies now we are screwed.

OT I would get my dads .22 it's light easy to use and it would not be hard to get ammo.

That depends: Are the zombies already coming down my street? Or are they relatively close but still not a problem atm?
If they're close, my 12 ga winchester 1300. Got a couple hundred rounds for it, so im not an easy target. Add the ammo to 100 yard, close to MOA accuracy, and its a zombie killing machine.
If the zombies are somewhat close, either run to Gander Mountain and pick up the bolt action .50 they have there, or knock over the nearest gun shop that stocks ar-15s and ammo. Both firearms offer very good accuracy out to around 500yds for the ar and well over 2000yds for the .50 (didnt check, but i think the longest confirmed kill was made by a Canadian at around 2500 yds)

Also, what the hell is a water cannon gonna do to zombies???
same question also good choices i would pick the same but get some pistols in the process like a .357 magnum.

More specifically a sawn off pump action shotgun, wider spread, more damage, twice as likely to take their head off with one blast.

I'd reach for the Baseball Bat because I wouldn't have to worry about running out of ammo, and it wouldn't hinder my ability to move quickly.

I'd go for a bat, or similarly dimentioned object, since it's the only item on the list that I have access to, and it's the only one I'd be able to wield effectively.

Assault rifles won't be that great because, as far as I know, in the United States it is illegal to sell fully automatic weapons, so you would only find semi-auto assault rifles. In which case, you'd be better off with a proper rifle: they're both semi-auto, but the rifle rounds are much more powerful.

Personally, I'd choose a shotgun. It's a classic, and is much more likely to blast a zombie's head off which, traditionally, I thought was the only way to actually kill a zombie.

What kind of shotgun? If I could get my hands on one, I'd carry an AA-12 (fantastic if you're cornered by several zombies). That or I'd try and get a Franchi SPAS-12 (might be difficult since its importation into the United States is banned).
First, you will notice that the first gun i grabbed was a 12 ga.
Second, they make .308 ar 15s, which are as effective, if not more effective, than your average deer hunting round. They also chamber ARs in .338, .243, .223, 6.5mm grendel, .50 beowulf, and 6.8mm spc, 7.62X54mm, and several others i cant remember off the top of my head. With those choices, why go with anything other than an AR?

Why go .357 mag when you can go .44 mag? I personally like either the FNP 45 or any of the multitude of 1911s out there, with the requirement of at least .45 cal, although a .50 gi would be better.

Out of those, I only have a lawn mower and maybe a baseball bat, but the lawn mower seems completely impractical. I would either go for my .22, swords, or this slightly more practical than a lawn mower weapon that I have:
