with the wise words of Bob Kelso: "I am fairly sure that if they took porn off the internet, there would only be one website left and it would be called bring back the porn"

so yeah I'm all in for it

hey, this should be pretty straight forward. What is your opinion on pornography? As a girl...it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think some porn can be quite arousing actually.
Likewise... except 'as a guy'. Hell, I made one when I was nineteen (note to self: ensure DVD is destroyed... /jk), just an amateur one with my then gf to satiate our curiosity of what we looked like when in the act. Needless to say, playback lead to more...

I don't see anything majorly wrong with it.
If you're into that sort of stuff, go wild.
If you aren't, don't watch it and everybody stays happy.

No problem with porn. In fact, I would like to publicly thank porn for being a great time-waster.

I'll be honest, I'm conflicted about it.

On the one hand the moralist in me fears that the widespread availability, often depicting absolutely unrealistic situations or outright misogynistic (not to mention abusive) situations may be causing major damage to the image or beliefs about women - both by men and other women - is in fact harmful.
A lesser known example that could be argued to be evidence of this is the rise in female genital plastic surgery.... or in my mind its existence at all.
I would like to call that into the bs zone. It is like claiming every super model and every actress and everyone in the public eye that does some kind of plastic surgery is a bad role model and will cause every kid in the world to change. I think that is the equivalent of tossing an issue down a toilet with an excuse to try and justify why you don't want it. The bigger issue is how do we teach those young women and men [who you left out so quickly cause it is still acceptable in society] To accept that who they are and what they look like is fine but to understand that some people will judge and care and insult you based off of it and how to handle those people instead of worrying about some pornstar or actress who got implants or a face lift or some other procedure.

Also to make the point about men more obvious with an exmaple of "Why does a man need to be so buff all the time and when one i the public image gains weight when he was known for being packed he is called into moral question even if the way he got there was through steroids and harming his body with stressful over training?"

OP:

Course I watch porn. I once had one of my friends ask me why i'm so open about it, I respond with the simple statement of "What? Is it wrong to enjoy myself in a healthy way?"

I like it.

But I'm concerned that the actors and actresses aren't always having their safety come first. I've heard that working conditions aren't always great, and man, some of the stuff they do is pretty messed up. Some of it may even be dangerous. I hope people aren't being injured or abused in this line of work.

I do hope the majority of us can stay mature about this. Not that there's much to discuss anyway.
Nothing wrong with porn of any kind in my opinion. Every-one to their own, it should be kept available, no point hiding it - it'll probably always be about.

Seriously what's there to discuss here? xD

I kind of think the whole concept is a little weird. But I get that it has its purpose.

I saw a few different types when I was younger, just to check if I had some weird fetish or something. After about the eighth time I recoiled in disgust I figured, you know what, fuck this, I'm just not into anything.
And I lived angrily ever after.

I enjoy porn, but I don't watch it that often, I generally go for hentai. Yes, I am quite aware I'm going to hell, thank you.

wanna go for a hell-beer?
OT: i agree with Rich. my problem with porn in that it moves about. its like 'look theyre fucking yes but look at her eyebrow. its normal. listen to that. thats the sound of a woman faking it. badly.'

It very much depends on the porn as to how fake it is.

Some sites pride themselves on having everything real, or close enough it makes no odds. I mean screaming-faked orgasms is kinda the hall mark of schticky 80's porn, and while some is still the same its far from the only kind out there. Broaden your horizons.

Of course on the flip side, you look at a hentai girl's eyebrow and go 'look at that eyebrow, who the hell thinks that what normal people look like?'.

I love porn. I have a good collection. Not an illegal amount, just enough to get by.

Be it eye candy, or straight-up masturbation fuel, I think it's healthy for a man to have.

Nothing intrinsically wrong with it if it's used in a healthy way, same as most things in life

thing is, what makes one person happy makes another vomit so it's a subject of great debate
and short sighted people tend to colour everything with a single brush

I always laugh when feminists complain that porn drives crime against women; Japan, per capita, consumes a lot more porn, and much more of it based around more risque subjects, and the rate of violent crime targeting women in Japan is miniscule, even when compared to Canada, let alone the US.

It's also interesting to note that much of the BDSM I've come across typically involves females doms, and a fair proportion of male subs.
