I find it funny how all straight men, enjoy girl-on-girl porn. Maybe it's the fantasy of getting something you can't have? Or maybe we, men, like to imagine ourselves being in the middle of it all.
That made me think of this;

That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about! :D

I love porn. Seriously. But not as medium to stimulate my libido. I love it is a performance, as a cabaret, as a comedy. It's one of forms of storytelling that abuses exaggeration to the breaking point. There is hardly anything more funny than low budget German porn with their blunt, monotone "Ja!Ja! Schneller!" or gay porn. It's also great resource of references for odd poses, facial expressions and sometimes even wicked costumes.
But that's my personal perspective and how i can use porn in non porn related activities.

As for general place of porn in modern society, i don't have anything against it. All the talk about objectifying woman or taking the love out of the whole act is just bullshit. It's a visual stimulant for those without an imagination, maybe different angle to approach the foreplay or simply something that let's your brain shut off and simply enjoy the images. To each of his own.
Now this is what I call thorough work! Though I, in addition to your post, sometimes watch porn for the sake of my libido, I also find it a great source of non-sexual entertainment. Bad acting and pornography is something that has walked hand-in-hand, ever since it was first released. And let's hope it stays that way!

It's okay, I guess. I don't view it that often. And not at all if I'm dating someone.

I don't see the big deal with it all. I do find it strange how hard difficult it is to find soft porn these days; I think the cheesy storylines make it way more fun.
soooo right! The best skin-flicks I ever saw were the ones that built some sort of story beforehand. Nowadays it's either straight to business, or you get some stupid coked-up floozy they picked up on 5th avenue pretending like she took a drama class in high school.

I've been desensitized by porn, something needs to be totally bananas to get me interested.
OT: Yeah I like porn.

I've still got an old 80's VHS porn tape lying around somewhere. It spends a good 15 minutes introducing the characters before any action really happens. Arh the good ol' times.

Or maybe it's, you know, two naked girls obviously aroused going at each other.

OT: There are studies that show that pornography can be harmful to younger children, no I am not talking teens, but child on child sexual abuse is linked to some form of sexual trauma to children and in some cases the only trauma to the child that can be found is porn. Again no, not naked pictures of people, it's viewing sexual acts that can in some cases lead to child on child sexual abuse. Best out of the hands of those that are not mature enough for it yet. Anywhere it's just like anything else mostly harmless on it's own, with an assortment of people that do become addicted to it. But hey people get addicted to stranger things.

It's just porn after all.

If the adults participating in the porno as well as those watching it later are aware of what they are doing and consent to doing so... there's no issue with it, story-lines in porno are utter sh*t though.

Ahh, that was when women still had bush too.

Interesting side-note, what's our preference here? Bush, trimmed, or bald?

Would make a decent poll, but I'm sure it's been done before.

I believe that it is degrading for both parties involved and "glorifies" sex.

That said, I still watch it :/.

Yay for the anonymity of the internet!
But when you think about it, sex in general is still something a lot of people can't talk about. So if porn glorifies sex a little bit, isn't that OK? Maybe that way, it'll be easier for some to actually talk about it?

I don't know, I'm just spouting nonsense!
When you put it that way, yes you would be correct however what i mean, was that it glorifies sex similar to how war glorifies killing poeple. Killing a person doesnt get any better because its a war.

Wait, I dont make sense. Shit. Give me a couple of sec's here.

I mean, it shows all the "fun" of sex but it doesnt show any of the real emotions, the real connections, after all its just people acting and is two dimensional at best. When was the last time you cared about a character in a porno?

Shit, I dont know if this makes sense, I dont talk about this much (well at all). So well fuck if it doesnt make sense just ignore me.
The last bit definetly makes sense. I mean, it shows two (or possibly more?) people having sex without any of the intimacy or romance that is mostly involved in everyday life. So yeah, I see where you're coming from with this. But again, it's up to the individual to seperate what happens in porn, from real life. We all know that if we worked as plumbers and were sent on a job to fix a hot woman's bathtub, we most likely wouldn't get laid. But we're still allowed to hope!

Well I can't see any harm in answering that. Seems pretty innocent. It's a trimmed one for me!

I don't really have a problem with it as a concept. Like all things, it needs to be handled in moderation. If there's a noticeable chunk of your day spent just browsing porn and there's not a good reason for it then you may have a problem.

But for your average healthy adult human being I don't see any real problem with it and in fact I think it can be inspirational, therapeutic or at least cathartic.

(Inspirational in this case not meaning "Hallelujah I found the Lord through porno" but more like "Oh hey, we never thought of trying that before.")

Anyway.
With that said there is one aspect of the industry I feel needs to be addressed.
I've had friends who were in the business (as production crew or administration not as talent) who could tell you horror stories about some of the downright sleazy things that go on in some parts of the industry.

For example. There are entire niches dedicated to abuse or domination or rough play and as long as all parties are consensual and amicable then there's no harm and no foul.
However it's not at all uncommon for one or two specific producers or companies to seek out new talent and for all intents and purposes humiliate them on camera.
I'm wording that as politely as possible because I don't want to go overboard with my descriptions.

Crying sexual harassment in the sex industry can be an understandably difficult thing to do, but regardless of the situation, No has to mean No.

It has it's place just like everything else.

I enjoy it from time to time, though the absolute industry focus on those muscle-bound idiots with donkey dicks and porn actresses with stupidly huge tits and rather average looks overall, with the ability to shove half a combi-van down their throat really pushes me away from any mainstream crap.

People feeling good and getting off is not a bad thing. Making mainstream pornography that is really god-awful to watch really makes it rather degrading, but not in the way a very moralistic person would have it. It's not degrading for the people, it degrades the act itself and pulls it into the gutter, where it really does not deserve to be. Sex is good, sex is great and it should be treated as such since it is such an inherent part of being human.

Men get off by visual stimulation, so a girl-on-girl situation probably ends up being double the fun for that reason alone.

I do think porn is degrading for women, because it cheapens their bodies, thoughts and desires.

Which is why we end up going after so called "real" women.

There is no taboo about sex or porn. Society has always merely ignored it politely to avoid licentiousness and to avoid contaminating children with often confusing and strong feelings that can worry them.
I was innocent as a child, and my trip through puberty was filled with doubt and anxiety, due to early exposure to erotic material and ideas.

I still watch porn, and it serves a short and satisfying purppose, but I never pay it any attention apart from that.

Porn is fucking awesome! Yep that's pretty much my opinion right there.

I like vaginas to look like actual vaginas though. I don't like the massive labia surgery craze D=
