I usualy only post in threads that I have quite a bit of interest in the subject topic, and my opinion is usualy backed up with at least some authority / evidence so i guess it's rare i get large ammounts of negative feedback... disregarding trolls etc..Shockolate said:Exactly what it says on the Tin.
Are there any posts you ever had that has garnered a lot of negative feedback?
Yes, indeed. Makes perfect sense. I said that his ideals seem out-of-place in today's society without being in some way against the Iraqi situation. I was also suggesting that going against the chain-of-command for a reason apart from the stated movie reason "he was really eager to kill [Arab] bad-guys" would be more interesting. Ended up being an unpopular opinion among an audience which apparently consists of a lot of military and military-relatives.Kollega said:Not liking anime. Not liking Warhammer 40000. Liking anthropomorphs (shut up, they're cool). Liking humanity. Defending United States of America. Defending religious freedom (as in, freedom to practice any religion you want or none at all). The list goes on and on and on. Lynching mobs with torches and pitchforks are just unable to get enough of me, it seems.
As an aside: i always thought that Captain America's blind patriotism served the ideals of his country rather than the government currently in power (which means he'll turn on a government trying to corrupt these ideals) - maybe he wasn't always like that, but you get my point, right?Calatar said:Hmm, I once posted about Captain America being a questionable idea in the current political landscape.
The question is: are they saying things about Christianity and the establishment thereof? Or are they making statements about Christians specifically? First one is more valid than the second (generally speaking).Samurai Goomba said:I mean, goodness sakes, you can say stuff about Christians around here that you could never get away with saying about pretty much any other religious group.

haha, I saw that, and I also saw that unwind, I completely agreed with your opinion though, but I stayed quiet for fear of getting burned as well. (I had already used up both my flame retardant vests for the day in Bioware v Relic and Zynga v Square Enix).madbird-valiant said:I stated the TRUFAKT that everyone bullies/is nasty at some stage in their life, and apparently the Escapist is full of holy denizens who have never said a harsh word in their lives.
