Fable 2 paved in some good features that would make 3 a lot better. Lost chapters is still the best though.
Shadow the Hedgehog, proved to me a game for children can be hilariously racist.
The past 3 or 4 Call of Duty's provide a broader market for gaming. They also never fail to remind me of how great 2 was.
I really think Brink had some really good ideas and innovative mechanics.
I actually don't dislike this one that much and am more of neutral but Rift had a brilliant and unique talent tree system.

God of War (Series): Kratos is a true badass.
Skyrim: Huge world with tons of content.
Mass Effect (Series): Great story, very well written.

I'll do a couple

Infamous: A fun game with some cool ideas
Uncharted: It copies Indiana Jones well
Heavy Rain: it still pushing it's experimental style

Far Cry 2: The game simply looks beautiful. Such a shame that it bored me to tears.

Final Fantasy VIII had this really cool bit where your University takes off into the sky and starts shooting missiles at another University doing the same thing. Then a bunch of guys on motorcycles land inside yours and start tearing shit up, and this massive sword and magic fight goes on. It was honestly one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a JRPG.

And maybe the second half of the game was really good too, but I gave up after it was consistently horrible for about ten hours.

Final Fantasy XIII has beautiful scenery.
Shaq-Fu has good music on one stage.
The Sonic Series has always looked good when other people play it.
Skyrim has a great levelling system and didn't get boring until after I finished the main quests.

EEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM..........

The Fable games seemed to have a lot of content in them for dozens of hours of play.

Doesn't change the fact that they're total piles of shi-NO, INNER THOUGHTS, THIS IS NOT THE TIME!

Battle Network 4 introduced character based styles.

Assassin's Creed was trying to do plenty of neat things and also has pretty nice fans.

Twilight Princess has the best art direction of the "Adult" Link games.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 tried to balance the classes from the other games, though it failed.

Final Fantasy VIII, I love the junction and GF system, though it isn't explained well in-game.

Star Fox adventures always looked gorgeous.

GTA 3 is probably responsible for the creation of Saint's Row. This led to the creation of Saint's Row 2, which was awesome, and Saint's Row: The Third, which makes it into my top 5 games ever. Thanks GTA 3 (also, in it's defense, I played it not long ago, so it's more of a matter of not aging well rather than actually being a bad game. GTA 4 was good, it's just that most of the missions were quite samey and interchangeable.)

Cthulu Saves the World has a nice concept, I just didn't find anything beyond that funny in the game.

Hydrophobia: Prophecy had nice water effects.

Dino D-Day, again, had a cool, comical concept, it just had terrible execution.

Also, OP, you say you don't buy games that you don't like, why did you get/play the last 4 COD games then?

COD has great multiplayer and a Michael Bay campaign, if that's what you're in the mood for.
Is your avatar from Pushing Daisies?
Indeed it is. I have a pretty big man crush on Lee Pace.

Wet. Really does capture the feel like a Grindhouse movie, but forgot to make a playable game besides.

Street Fighter has...it has...er...

It has some hot girl character designs? I'm really at a loss, I see no redeeming features of the game. It pulls potential opponents for fun fighting games like SSB away?

Well it popularized fighting games, created modern special moves on fighting games, had one if no the first female player character (and wasn't very sexualized if you care about that) and without Smash wouldn't exist.

That's all fine and dandy if you're talking about the original one(s), but SSF4 is complete trash, in my opinion, and has no redeeming qualities (but plenty of negative qualities, if the business practices like having multiple editions is taken into account).

Well you said Street fighter, so I just assumed the first games.

I personally like the art style of Street Fighter IV. It also revived the fighting genre in these last years.

Anything related to Capcom has terrible business practices so its redundant to point them out.
