Yeah I can't help but agree. If someone is fooled with something like this then whoever used it obviously wants to not be where they are anymore and deserves leave. Just replace I'm sure you can find someone else.

Ooh...oh man, I think I hurt myself laughing. What's next, he's going to allude capture by switching the controller to the 2nd-player port?
I can see it now. They cuff him and he is like "Oh no...but wait" and the cuffs just phase away into nothing.

Oh dear. Well, I guess when you're in prison; you have a lot of time to figure out how this could actually work.

"See, videogames teach people not only how to murder and steal, but they also teach convicted murderers how to escape from a high-security prison! All videogames are evil and must be destroyed!" *What Jack Thompson will be thinking once he reads this.*
*Sigh* Another thing for the media to blow out of proportion and use to try to ban video games.

Why is everyone applauding a man suspected of the double homicide of two early 30s women by strangulation? It's terrible that he's escaped although it's even more terrible that he's been awaiting trial since 2004. There's even an odd mystery to the case in that there is DNA that they have not identified present on the tape used to gag the women.

If he was innocent and his cryptic response to being arrested of "He bumped her off," refers to the actual killer, this stupid escape will make him guilty of a crime anyways.

It's actually pretty bad news all around especially the high security prison, which was foiled by a man in a box (albeit a man with amazing woodcraft skills).
I believe everyone is applauding this man, who suspected of the double homicide of two early 30s women by strangulation, because the way he escaped. I myself think the way he escaped is funny, embarrassing to the prison guards, but funny.
Although it does still mean that a man who is suspected of double homicide is on the loose and a cool escape plan DOES NOT EXCUSE HIM FROM HIS CRIME (assuming he did it in the first place) OR MAKE HIM A HERO.

Lolage I wasn't the only one looking at his name and see if we could swap Snake for his :p

I say put him in an MGS game entirely his own!

It is legendary beyond belief that he managed that though

For a man who has been waiting so long for trial, i think he finally lost faith in the justice system... and got the f*** out of dodge in a very awesome way.

Though I shudder to think what will happen if Fox News gets ahold of this story...
FOX!!!

I am in general agreement with the statement that this man deserves a great many accolades for an impressive escape.

That said, doing so does not bode well for him.

Thereafter... Why don't prisons hire people like this guy to TRY and escape? If you had an entire prison brimming with people trying to figure out how to break the system, I think you would likely find the vast majority of the loopholes before filling it with a criminal population.

I suspect it's a coverup for a more powerful accomplice...but this escape was simply awesome.
If it took that long to decide whether he had a buddy in the crime something is pointing to him not getting a fair trial anyway as they dismiss the other evidence.

He MIGHT be a killer but he is not stupid.

This man has earned his freedom.

I say let him go.

(Or make a super-soldier out of him)
That's a little over-generous - he is a murderer after all. I say shoot him in the knees (because nobody likes a runner), give him a round of applause (because I concede that he deserves that) then lock him in solitary for the rest of his sentence. Everyone has their bit of fun, the status quo remains.

I'm surprised the French prison service didn't find him in the box though... they scrutinised every British farm animal for years, you wouldn't think they'd ignore 12st boxes marked "The Big Easy"...
