not funny capcom

wheres a link to contact them?
The best I've gotten is a blog post on Capcom's site announcing it, where the poster does not seem to be official but the post is featured on the front page of the community site. Post here, [http://www.capcom-unity.com/jgonzo/blog/2010/10/19/the_japanese_trailer_for_professor_layton_vs._ace_attorney_will_give_you_goosebumps] one and all!!!!!

Are they afraid we won't get it? Not like Americans purchase Japanese games... Or is it the topic of a witch hunt. That sure is sensitive issue, since we American's don't understand witch hunts... Does Ace Attorney (and character related) games and Prof Layton games barely break even in the US? I though these were some of the few obscure, good, and obscure translated games.

What's not to get about a witch hunt? No its because there isn't a guaranteed profit in the West. Despite reasonable sales in the West as far as the Ace Attorney and Professor Layton series go, the sales pale in the West in comparison to those in the East. They're appealing to their biggest audience and not taking any risks by not offering it to any other audience...
-cough-Mother 3-cough-
Mega Man Legends 3 suffered similarly in that its audience wasn't perceived as large enough to be considered even in Japan. Its finally coming out, though.

Really? Nobody did this yet? Come on guys...

Now we just need to send as many of those to Capcom as possible. I'm thinking we should make postcards out of it and just mail them over or something.

13 titles? Last I checked there were only five. Ports shouldn't count since very few people are going to buy the same game twice.

Now, I'm not saying we use the A-bomb again.

I just think we should invite Japan out to our place and leave it somewhere they can see.

We don't even point to it, they know it's there, thats enough for them to know we mean business.

Boom, Phoenix Wright X Professor Layton in time for the holidays.

Capcom/Nintendo,

Please, please, please, for the love of all that is good in this world, release this game overseas!! I was going to go out and buy all three Professor Layton games just so I could better appreciate the grandess that is this new game crossover. I'm already going to have to buy a whole new system (3DS) for this game. I will gladly throw even more money at you to get this game translated.

I will be sending e-mails to the American Nintendo and Capcom headquarters later today. :|b

That's the way that Capcom has chosen to list them.

While there might be a more organized effort in the future, for the time being, it may be worth while to leave a comment on the blog post in support of bringing the game over. It only takes a few minutes to register on Capcom's site and any activity will help show what kind of support the publisher can expect from the fan base. If you are a fan of either series, I highly suggest you register and comment in support of the game!

*gasp* A game is only confirmed to be in Japan only on the day a Japanese trailer for it premiers, PANIC! Get the fire extingui-AH POOPNUGGETS!

Yeah alright, I'm not saying that the fear isn't warranted, but I'm really not worried about this not being localized. First off, they didn't say they wouldn't release the game outside of Japan, just that there aren't any current plans to do so...which is what they said with the first three or four Phoenix Wright games. Not to mention, they brought us Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and Tatsunoko is pretty much unheard of outside of Japan. If they were willing to bring us that, then they're sure as hell going to give us this. Phoenix Wright has a massive niche-appeal, and Layton is actually kind of mainstream depending on what country you're in. There isn't really any reason for them to keep this game locked in Japan.

Sarcasm about not under standing witch hunts. I guess it's not common knowledge but American history had it's own actual witch hunt. I'm just pointing out that the subject matter and country of the game are different, but I hope Capcom isn't considering that for why not to port it. I like the Layton and Attorney games, and they did port a lot of Attorney games (I guess Layton too). How is the crossover any more a risk than their other ports? Sale numbers of their games would be nice, that would clarify this finical move.

I mad.

Mad enough to distribute a petition.

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/laytonvswright/

If they read these comments, then they'll see how many fine, upstanding supporters there are.

And if you want to help, you should sign too.

...At least somebody had the balls to make a petition.

If nobody had posted a petition, I was going to make a post saying if someone made one I would sign.

I'll admit that I am not a huge fan of the professor layton games (although I do know its a good game) and I have never played any of the Phoenix Wright games, but I still think this game should be available in other countries as well.

We REALLY need to find a way to get them to understand how much we want to give them our money for this game.
