Why would they do that to us? We really need to show them that they've got tons of fans across the world who would love to play this. I don't care if we don't get it until 2015 (and considering it took two years for us to get Professor Layton 3, that wouldn't surprise me), we need this game. Please... I don't want to have to learn Japanese and get an import copy.

THIS MUST BE RELEASED INTO THE WEST.? and JDViewer ?Normally when it comes to petitioning for release of a game from another country, I don't get worked up enough, but I really do want this game.? Hell I think they should forgoe the game and just release a short/feature film based around it. Certainly the Layton games would make pretty decent films but it looks like they've stepped up their game in terms of quality since their bringing in Wright for the crossover.

They already DID make films of Layton.

Oh come on, they say this now but there's no doubt it will eventually be released in the West, purely because both franchises are big money and big hits over here. I honestly can't see it not being released here, even if we do have to wait a year or so for the localisation.

Guys, calm down an read the original blog post. It doesn't say anything about it only being released in Japan, or that the West won't be getting it because of low sales for previous games. That's just scaremongering by the various games websites it's been reported on. All it tells us is that as of Tuesday, the game had been announced only for Japan, and it jokingly asks for people who want it in the West to comment.

I'm calling that petition or not, we're getting this game. Professor Layton is massive over here, so it's got that going for it already, and even Ace Attorney has a good cult following.
Plus, while I think people online are getting too worked up over nothing, the petitions and support this story is whipping up can only be good for it's (IMO, already high) chances of a release. SO I'll sign the petition all the same. But I don't have a doubt in my mind the game's coming out here.

"No plans" doesn't mean "it's not happening". It could very well be that they're holding out on announcing a Western localization until a later date. Also, Level-5 is the publisher of this game, not Capcom, so I'd be more convinced if it was one of the former's higher-ups who said it.

This game will make it to the rest of the world, I am sure of that. It's only a matter of time.

It's Mother all over again! They assume that the West isn't going to be interested it, yet those are the games we'd fight each other over. It's impossible to guess the success or failures of a game, but with the risk comes the reward

These 2 games, however, HAVE succeeded in the west and it would sell, big, like, seriously big. Hell, I'd buy a 3DS JUST for this game...I hate when Japan puts down the west...
