Anyone else notice that there are no reviews for the game. There are always reviews for games before they are released except when the Dev puts an embargo on reviews for being negative.

I read this morning that the full game got leaked a while ago, and apparently it's buggy as all hell. Which would explain the lack of reviews, yeah.

I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow?

Yes, that makes so much more sense than the fact that the creators want us to actually play the game and then be able to review it AFTER it's finished.

I don't doubt it'll have a hard time living up to the expectations we set out for it... take note people it's not the game's fault when it gets overhyped, nver, it's always ours because we are the ones who make impossible to obtain standards.... but still this post makes no sense of course there aren't reviews to an unreleased game.

EDIT: I do like that this news was given to us by a man called 'Hypothetical Fact' though.

A game might be buggy as hell, but if you are having fun playing it, by my standards it's a good game. I mean, Mercenaries is a sub par game by today's standards, and those set by the industry, it's still fun to play it, hijack a tank, wreck havoc here, drive to the next fight, hijack a heli and wreck more havoc.

Even if this game get a 7.0, I'm still getting ready to get it.

Well the ps3 version has been reviewed by PSW Magazine UK and they gave it a 90 so its not a bad start im guessing.

Judging from what I've seen of the game in gameplay videos from E3 (this was bootlegged footage that I found on YouTube or someone actually playing the game), it doesn't seem like the bugs will generally get in the way of the core of the game: the combat. And while I did notice a few bugs, these were mostly minor issues around the "automatic platforming" movement system that the game uses. The only other "bug" was the odd missing animation when you jump into the water. But since this was just a demo at E3, the Devs have probably already fixed these issues, and even if they haven't, they will probably be able to fix them with a patch pretty quickly. other than that though, from what I could see in the videos, the enemy AI was pretty good, the combat looked fluid and fun to do, so I can't wait to play the game.
And if you're going to argue about how the game "might not live up to the hype", you should remember that when YOU actually sit down to play any game, no matter how hyped up it is, you shouldn't really be taking anyone else's opinion into the game with you. Yes, hype can occasionally give you good information about an upcoming game, but it also tends to color your opinion of the final product. And personally, I'm not going to judge a game based on some what a bunch of people that I've never met have said about the game. I'm going to go into the game with MY expectations ONLY.

I feel like an idiot. I spent ten minutes looking for a review for Prototype yesterday until I realized that the PC version is being released on the 9th, not the 6th.

Established reviewers usually get a copy of the game to review before it's officially released. Sometimes the fact that this doesn't happen indicates that the publishers know the game is not very good and don't want bad reviews to put anyone off buying it. This is true of both movies and games.

A lack of early reviews doesn't always indicate a bad game, though. It might mean that the game was completed too close to the shipping date to get review copies out on time, or some other reason. From memory, GTA Chinatown Wars didn't have any reviews until after it was released, and that turned out to be a great game.

Maybe we should wait until the reviews actually come out to see if it's bad or not? Or maybe we should try playing the game for ourselves?

Just declaring it bad because no reviews have popped up yet is rather quick to judge, don't you think?

A game will bomb because it hasn't been reviewed but, it hasn't been released?
Let go of the reviews. Think for yourself.

Unless it's Zero Punctuation.

All the review sites have had their staff at E3 all week. I'm more worried that there's no demo, but I still expect it will do well.

It depends on what those bugs are. Little things are fine, TES games often have bugs (mostly due to it's large size) but there are game ending glitches and bugs. Also multiplayer mode bugs and glitches are almost automatically game ruining. (Gears of War)
