It can be pretty rubbish, but it also can be pretty wonderful. I personally don't think the rubbishness will last forever. Also, whenever I'm feeling like you are now, I watch this.

Well consider for a moment that you are literally using electricity to communicate with the entire world from a machine in which you could download more than a million pages of information. and that the chair your sitting on probably has parts imported for more that 3 countries and it still cost less than a hundred euros.

My question is, why? It's your sucky opinion, doesn't have any effect on me. Why should I care if you've decided that world is shit?

Ok, how's for this: The world isn't shit because not everyone is thinking world is terrible.

Hey! That Second last one is a SERIOUS problem for me...you have no idea how many awkward moments i could have avoided had it been working!

Life expectancies are going up. More people have food than in any time in history. Constant scientific advances are going to make that even better and better.

You have entertainment right at your fingertips that you don't even need other people for.

The amount of people who have access to medical care is rising, alternate fuel and energy research is going up.

Why do you think life is so terrible?
And hell, they have working fusion reactors being designed by small, private firms. Sure they use more power than they produce, but still, PRIVATE FIRMS are fusing deuterium!

And you have internet, and Quantum computing exists and has already been sold, and Quantum-communications are becoming a reality. And the idea of using Boron diamonds as super heat-resistant semi-conductors is AWESOME and POSSIBLE and BEING TESTED!

And we haven't had a world shattering conflict in longer than any other technologically enabled generation before us. How awesome is that? We are slowly learning not to blow ourselves apart!

Turn that frown upside down, we kinda know what we are doing!

Just remember that all the shit and all the atrocities you see on TV or in whatever news medium you choose, and all the droll, don't accurately represent humanity. Because what accurately represents humanity is pretty droll most of the time, and by definition, news is the stuff that stands out and is an unusual event worth reporting. And it sells more papers when its bad stuff, but for every bad act there'll be one act of true goodness. And that ratio is when the world goes to shit. In reality it's closer to a 5:1 ratio. All the stories about murders and abductions are by far the exception to the norm. I'm sure everyone except those who are hard-wired to cause trouble would much rather give money to a homeless man than straight up punch him for daring to be homeless.

Fundamentally, people aren't that bad. It's just that sometimes a crazy person wanders into power and shit gets weird, not necessarily because people agree with them, but because they have the power to make people do what they want. If you put a face on something, or force people to actually watch or experience someone else's pain and suffering, you might be surprised at how much good people are capable of. Being jaded and cynical is stupid, frankly, because it ignores that people do have a good side. Not to say they have no bad side, but you have to remember that they have both a bad and a good side.

Same here. Mine is literally great. Ive never had that "life is shit" logic apply, and due to my own sense of retrospect, never will.

I become happy whenever I watch 'It gets better' videos.

I don't know why, but nothing else gets me as emotional as that...

I can't because it is. This is a cruel world full of bad people who you cannot trust, but we, the people who see this, are the only resistance against it. We must try to fix it. A single person with enough ideas and the will and platform with which to spread that idea can change the world and the more people who try the better. Personally, I have dedicated my life to this cause.

The world is evil, but "all it takes for evil to spread is for good men to do nothing".

I think your life would get better if you changed your attitude. Pay less attention to the bad things and more to the good things.

Life sucks and then you die. Deal with it. (That's what you wanted to hear... right?)

But anywho, this thread has been surprisingly entertaining and improved my mood. Thanks! =D

Also Scott Pilgrim exists, to entertain people like YOU!. ^^

Life suck really hard and I really don't wanna live anymore but the only thing you can do is to keep fighting for a better day, always aim for the stars and never give up because one day it will get better.

Go do some charity work in a place in the world where everyone's house is falling apart and 60% of the population is below the poverty line. That should give you some perspective on things. If you live in the U.S, there are a lot of groups that work in the Appalachia area for charity, so you won't even have to leave the country. If you think that's too much work, then sit in the basement of your parent's house whining about how much your life sucks and don't come complaining to any of us on here.
