SEE I TOLD YOU!!!! Yes I bloody called it :p

Now to all those that said the PS4 would do the same crap as the XBone and cost $600, what have you got to say for yourselves?
I'll admit, I was one of those people. The way things have been going lately can you blame me? Sony was the one that made online pass standard on all their 1st party games.

It was good to see Jack Trenton not only be explicit (repeatedly) this time but he was just smugly twisting the knife after a while. Still not buying a ps4 (not at launch at least) but that almost made me want to.
A little worried about Plus being required for online.

Get wrecked Microsoft. Here's hoping it costs under $500 for the Australian price.
Update, just checked EB site and it says $549, so alittle over what it should be considering the XBone is $599, but still not too bad. I'm gonna preorder but keep an eye on any release pack/deals they come around between now and release.

Grey you do realize that kiss was done unwillingly? It's basically like if I went in the street of a major city, grabbed a random attractive woman, and kissed her. Kinda sick, perhaps you could use a better picture.
I've never read anything that suggests it was done unwillingly. Randomly, but not without consent.

It's worth noting that when Life Magazine tried to get the two people to come forward, three women claimed to be the nurse and eleven claimed to be the sailor.

So basically this sailor grabbed a random woman and kissed her against her will, a sexual assault. The sailor committed a crime and should have been arrested.
"I can't think of anybody who considered that as an assault. It was a happy event." - Greta Zimmer Friedman, the dental assistant being kissed in the photograph.

Ouch.

That's going to be a blow to Microsoft. One huge, terrible, painful blow. Doesn't change the fact that I don't want any of the exclusives and won't be buying it, but, still. Ouch. Super ouch.
Agreed looks like Microsoft will be doing some retooling of their console soon. I found nothing sony showed to be interesting at all but they are really doing their best on every other front. Its a change of pace to see Sony shelve its arrogance.
Microsoft is going to have to show us something that proves the $100 more is really worth it, and not just their fancy shmancy cloud computing mumbo jumbo. Actual honest to god proof that we actually need this thing and that it's worth $500. If I wasn't so damn invested in Halo, I wouldn't even bother with Microsoft, but I sold my soul when I was 12 and now I can't escape. Otherwise, I'm not seeing any reason why I should favor Microsoft over Sony.

Damnit, why do I have to like Halo so much? It's so easy for other people to dislike it!

Good news? Maybe, it's in the hands of the publishers now... We know some of the big publishers are desperate to try and restrict or stop used games, so what happens if they decide to throw in support for the Xbone and leave the PS4 in the dust?

The PS4 could end in up hole with Nintendo and have to try and survive on first party titles and whatever bones EA and the others throw Sony's way.
That's be an idiotic move to pull after the negative reception of MS over the past few weeks.

That and the fact that Sony's stock went up the day the Xbox One was revealed already tells you that the market isn't having it either. Its also safe to say that people like those who own the big publishers who buy up stocks like Sony and MS.

Another point, even if you were right about Sony having to rely on first party games, they've still won on that front due to having many, many, many more second party studios under them than Microsoft does when it comes to consoles.

Also, a lot of big companies are hurting for cash right now. It'd be hard to imagine Square Enix jumping ship to MS with their current financial situation thanks to the FF14 sized hole they found in their wallet. And they are not the only game company that are in that situation, we both know that.

"There is just no way that there was anything bad about it. It was all good news, the best news we'd had for a number of years."
"In an interview in 2005 Greta explained how she was grabbed by the sailor as she walked through Times Square on her way to work. She was just 21.

"It wasn't my choice to be kissed," Greta explained. "The guy just came over and grabbed me!"

She added: "I felt that he was very strong. He was just holding me tight. It wasn't a romantic event.""
Our quotes seem to conflict, obviously being done in different years. By modern standards it's a sexual assault, not something to be happy about. Of course applying modern standards to past events is a futile thing but it doesn't mean we should use images like this to celebrate things, it's a sign of a problem with society back in the 40s.

So true, Halos just got-it for some people (myself included) I remember the Halo 2 launch I didn't have an xbox but I watched all the coverage and it was just amazing to see people so excited for it.

Microsoft is hurting now and while its bad for the company, it could be good for the Xbox fans they've got to prove themselves now and have to Incentivise that 100$ difference as well as their questionable policies. Look at how nintendo was hurting there for a while with the WiiU and look at all the downloads that are coming out as well as the games. I see Microsoft going the same route to get back in favor.

To be fair, didn't Microsoft say the same when they alluded to publisher's shouldering that responsibility?
Who's to say that the meaning behind Jack's words isn't similarly occluded?

He also confirmed the system will cost $399, undercutting the XBox One by $100.
Then you add in the fact that the Kinect isn't mandatory...

In which Sony wins E3.
I'd say that pretty much sums things up. Looks like I'll be going back to Playstation for the next generation.

Well, since I can't find the bit where OCP's stocks drop to zero, here's ED-209 to ruthlessly blast Mr. Kenny to pieces.

Draw from that what you will.

No I don't blame you and kudos for coming forward :), so we can expect you looking at the PS4 once the price drops perhaps?

It's from the new anime Attack on Titan, or if you like the Japanese titles, Shingeki no Kyojin. I haven't seen it, but I hear it's really good.

Like, really good.

I edited above, I called my local EB and was told that they expect it to be $499 for PS4 and $599 for XBone. Not 100% official but they did say keep an eye on the website so fingers crossed. If it is $499 I'm preordering on Thursday.
Why preorder though? That's just you giving GameStop/whoever an interest free loan. Keep your money and use it when the PS4 actually comes out. Out of curiosity: Have you watched any of the Jimquisitions about why we shouldn't pre-order?

Yes I have seen said videos, however they are refering to games mostly. Still I will answer, it's because they don't supply enough for demand, so if you want one on release day then pre-order is the only way. Also I can always cancel it if I so decide, nothing is lost.

When the markets open in the morning, it's going to be a wild ride for MS shareholders. Looks like I'll be going strictly Sony this Gen as consoles go.

True, it is possible that while Sony won't ENFORCE it they might still allow publishers to decide on blocking games or not. Hopefully we get some clarification
