Nice. I was one of the many who downloaded this. (I know, I know)

I haven't played it in years and I sold my copy loooong time ago. I know this is sad but I never was able to beat it so now I get the chance to try again.

For those looking to play it and don't have a PS3 or PSX, there is a port made for the PC. Not to hard to find I'm sure but I got it from my friend. Took up a gig of space on my hard drive and plays wonderfully, though the controls are a bit difficult to get used to.

Cloud is actually more of a jackass than an emo during most of the game itself. It's the Compilation of FF7 that makes him into a the brooding emo we all know. I blame the fans.

Yeah I only ever got the feeling that Cloud was a badass, the only times saying otherwise are when he's a bit sad cos of Aeris (He picks up quickly tho), and when he's all crazy in his wheelchair.

The emo-crap is the fans work, and Advent Children... Hell, back when FF7 came out I don't even think emo existed, atleast in my area of the world.

Actually they did exist back then it was more pop culture that did the "emo" thing to Cloud more than anything else.
I'm sure it's good thing to get for nostalgia although I do wish they would just remake it and be done with it and this is coming from a BIG RAVING FF fan. It just wasn't the same after Squaresoft joined with Enix in my opinion just went down hill from there.

I noticed that my extremely low level characters were equipped with wrong materia for that fight and did not want them to die for it. Also I had no other saves for a while.

Wow! This is very nice, and I'm proud to say I have still got the PS1 and FF7! Its pretty good for those who want to re-experience the wonder of the game. I outdone the timer...99:99:59...

The only thing decent to come out of the raping of the brand was Crisis Core, and even that was a little flaky. Everything else, I refuse to acknowledge ever existed.

Hah, that's rich, FF7 getting one hundred thousand downloads is not exactly the most suprising thing thats happened on PSN, come to think of it, when has anything suprising happened in PSN???

Personally I didn't care for the storyline of graphics for FF7. I understand Square Enix feels the need to pawn off their "gaming gems" to the people that are tired of this over-recycled series due to spin-offs(excluding Crisis Core) and the movie(shudders) but come on, do they want to end up like Nintendo?

As long as you can look past the dated graphics, it's a great game. Hope they release FF8 sometime in the future so I can download that one as well.
