Well if this is true (like I said I will believe it when I SEE it, yea I'm one stubborn skeptic) they better not stop UMD production because I fucking hate digital only BS. Although i have no doubt in my mind that they will just stick with the while digital AND UMD distribution...then I have no qualms with SONY. I like to physically own my games, and I don't wanna spend money on memory sticks (16gigs can hold MOST of my collection at least) AND games.sunami88 said:I beat you to it . It better damn well still support UMD's, oh and cue second analog stick whiners in 3...2...
Also, theres no UMD Drive [http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09/05/30/1924254]. I wonder if Sony will ever drop pricing on their games (HA!).
I knew it was only a matter of time before one of you people showed up...*shakes head*mentor07825 said:Wow! Could Sony actually be making a handheld that is meant for, dare I say it, for games?!?!
They said in the video they are not stopping production of UMD nor the PSP 3k which plays them.-Seraph- said:Well if this is true (like I said I will believe it when I SEE it, yea I'm one stubborn skeptic) they better not stop UMD production because I fucking hate digital only BS. I dunno. The way it's shaped makes me think it'd hold like a SNES controller. I guess the real question is how topheavy it is... that could really suck. But I imagine it's probably pretty light.Skizle said:it looks like an abortion of plastic. ya the specs are good, but its probably really awkward to holdPodunk said:Care to elaborate? But I've always thought that the PSP is better than the DS, and I love my little red block of fun. The main reason the DS gets more sales is that it attracts a wider market of casual gamers, which was actually a good marketing strategy on Nintendo's part.Ranooth said:Another device for the DS to demolish, woot!
The 'Hold' button's been on there since the 1000 model, it's what freaking broke my PSP (it kept thinking that the Hold switch was on)fix-the-spade said:Having said that the inclusion of a hold button's interesting, maybe increased use as an mp3 player? I still think it's bad piece of design though.
That is so mind boggling false I can't even believe it has been [i/]posted[/i] on the interweb much less believed.0p3rati0n said:that rumor of Microsoft buying out Sony
So you think competition is a bad thing? tisk tisk.0p3rati0n said:Oh please! Why does Sony keep trying!? They know DS is more popular, advanced, and better. I hope that rumor of Microsoft buying out Sony comes true.
