Well this and the fact that marcus finally caved to peer pressure and no longer has sleeves.

I knew I was going to get this game anyways (along with the tide of games coming out with the number 3 at the end), and the fact that they've got another person in it really doesn't change how I think.

So you're saying a lancer-wielding She-Hulk will be a playable character in this game...?

I never played the second, didn't really like the first and, have no plans on trying the third. Being able to play as a female isn't going to make me want the game any more or any less

Not at all. Being able to play as a female won't distract me from the fact that I'm basically playing an extremely macho version of whack-a-mole.

I'm excited for the game, the fact she's in it won't make or break the game for me, but I am looking forward to the actual game coming out

I don't have a problem with at all and welcome it especially since Gears Of War seems to be getting more intelligent as the games go on with Cliffy B claiming RPG elements are the next step in FPS evolution and the hiring of a noted STAR WARS novelist. Gears 2 made me cry when the scene with Dom and his wife occurs.

I was upset at first because she seemed too clean cut compared to the rest then realized that it's Anya who up until this point was sitting cozy at the communications base. I'm sure by THE END she will be as blood soaked and grimy as the rest.

Maybe they inject her with fast acting steroids since she isn't all that strong in the first place (Comapre with someone like Meryl who's a female truck in MGS4). Maybe that's a subplot, Anya dealing with her body being weaponized and feelings of bloodlust

And by "Doesn't change how I feel at all", I mean I still have absolutely no interest in or intention of playing it.

@Akira Fumi: Yes they can be macho, it's just that the gaming industry isn't very good at portraying that.

considering the fact that the gears world has its women acting as walking wombs, instead of being equal, and that this is just an attempt to make the illusion of equality in this universe, i say fuck the game and its sexist bullshit.

I'm actually really interested to see what it'll be like to play as Anya, I kind of saw this coming when in the books she starts going with Delta on a few missions armed to the teeth, Dom looks weird though... Then again I don't want to see the man that looks good after finding a brutalized wife and then... well you know >.>
