yups i played it... i did it pretty regularly too not too much because it was fun as much as it just became part of my daily routine (horrible i know) i eventually had a pretty big farm that took about an hour of my time every day!!! eventually i went out of town and didnt get the chance to tend to it for a few days and instead of going through all the motions of having to do all the maintenance i just never logged onto it again and i couldnt be happier.

I have not tried it, but I have seen people play it. It doesn't interest me. Now, if You'll excuse me, I'll return to playing Canabalt.

Ah yes,because it's just mind numbing grind of clicking on squares,then clicking on someone else's squares.Also,it may not help that most of my friends play it and harrass me to make a farm and be their neighboors so they may have bonuses.

NO.For the 17th time today,you can shove you farmville invitation sheep gift where the sun don't shine.If I must waste time infront of a screen,clicking my mouse at virtual objects,at least it should be something fun and/or engaging.
I once saw a friend "play" farmville for over an hour.I would have just got up and left after the first 10 minutes,but alas we were supposed to meet up at that spot and the others arrived late.

Nope, I'm already playing a game based on regular check-in (and I don't even need to pay to upgrade it) called "having a job": massively multiplayer, competitive gameplay, great 3D graphics and I'm even paid for it

For all those complaining about the poll options, I'm pretty sure the last option is supposed to be "I've NEVER tried it." Otherwise, it doesn't really make sense.

Also, I'm pretty sure this was asked as the question of the day about two weeks or so ago.

I suppose the only option in that case is not to vote, but I agree that this would have been useful to add it.

I play it, I'm on and off. I like it because I've reached a point where I can just fill my field and leave for a few days, its a routine thing. I stopped because facebook bores me.

It's not because I hate it, it's just because I can't really be bothered to take the time to do it.

I have never found a reason to play it. Real-life farming is boring to me so I don't think a virtual farming simulation would interest me all that much. I have played Harvest Moon before and while I did find it fun the farming part made me bored.

I have no reason to hate Farmville. I just never found an interest in playing the game.

And Escapist really gives itself a bad name by directing so much attention to Farmville.

Nope never have, though to be fair I don't hate it (how could I having never played it?) However, I have no desire to play FarmVille or any other "game" on FB as it's already a clunkily-designed site that I loathe visiting (which is why I rarely do) and, as such, don't see myself suffering along with some sort of integrated game for it.

I will say, though, I think some of the art that I've seen is fun/cute (I've seen some via posts from a friend. The black sheep is a fave.) Still, not enough to generate any interest in me.

Not playing Farmville does not imply you hate it. I have no interest in playing it, so I put "no," but I don't hate it. Maybe I would hate to play it for myself, but I'm not sure. I might try it if I had a Facebook account, which I don't.

I've never played it, and I never intend to--not out of some arbitrary hate for Zynga, casual games, or Farmville, but just because it doesn't look all that appealing (which is the same reason I don't play games like Final Fantasy or Manhunt--wow, never thought I'd see those two franchises in the same sentence).

Therefore, there's an option missing: the one for apathetic idiots like me who have no particular opinion.
