Hmmm... are they actually being considered for the role? or is it just some expert estimation by the escapist staff? Because I don't think they would have a black bond. And I don't think will smith would make a very good bond if they were.

I picked Christian Bale because I think he is the most suited out of the three but also after a little more thought, I'm pretty sure he could pull it off... Once he doesn't got too batmanny on us...

EDIT: However, If I could pick anyone I would bring back Timothy Dalton (is that house it spelled?)

Can all those who either voted for Will Smith, or who suggested an American actor, please go and line up next to the wall over there and your firing squad will be with you shortly. Bond is one of the few series where a Brit is shown as the good guy and using an American actor would really spoil it.

And yet the greatest Bond to ever grace the Silver screen was a Scot. Weird.

I don't think they should keep making bond movies. There are a ton (almost all excellent), they've run out of novels, and MGM is dead.

What kind of options are those?! Bond is quintessentially British and none of them really qualify. It would be like if I commissioned a Fresh Prince of Bel Air film and announced the main character was being played by Stephen Fry.

And I'd love Sean Pertwee as bond.

There was no option for "none," so I voted "other." I don't think there should be another James Bond. It's been a good run, but it's over now. I'd say that twenty-two films are more than enough. Time to give it a rest and put something new on the screen. Particularly since the later "Bond Identity" movies weren't all that hot. They were the Bond movies I would have wanted five years earlier. At least five years. But now they seem old hat.
