If my avatar had longer hair, a longer beard and tattoos it would look almost exactly like I do.

The only time my character really looked like me was Mass Effect. Shepard looked like me, except 20 years older, and with a big scar on his jaw. I have tried on other occasions, but it usually doesn't work. In Fallout 3 for example, no matter what you do, your face always looks basically the same.

Somewhat.
With my XBox ava, she kinda looks like I would...if I had hair--dark hair, in comfy dark clothes and specs.

With games, I don't typically try to necessarily replicate myself, but if the option to have dark hair and tattoos is there, I got for it. Those two traits, plus selecting the female gender, is about as close as I get to making "me" in-game.

Depends. My Xbox Live avatar looks just like me, but my characters in games look completely different.

Never. It's usually Jesus, Samual L Jackson, or something random. Or in ME2's case, the default, because changing it a little bit made the animations look weird.

Usually I try to make my in-game character look as psychopathic as possible.

As for my xbox live avatar, he is Sahz. Considering I have the limited edition FFXIII Chocobo.
