I dont think i would use a controller that would do that, but something like a chair that adjusts to the ingame temperature would be interesting. Although, games would need to start putting that kind of information in which really isnt realistic.

I dunno about scolds and freezes, but heats and cools would be a neat touch. nothing too unbearable.

I wouldn't use it to play an indie game... They tend to take more liberties with players' willingness to play.

Tell ya what, make a game system that uses every single current gaming "innovation", and I'll play it. Might actually turn out immersive.
Speaking of immersive..., you know what was? Deus Ex, and it did it with blocky graphics and occasionally sub-par voice acting. We really don't need these new things.

Typical media over-exaggeration. No-one would ever use a controller that scalds or freezes, because that would cause permanent damage to their hands, and they wouldn't pass health and safety checks. However, I imagine many would consider a controller that heats and cools.

It would be pretty sweet to keep my fingers from freezing off in the dead of winter, but other than that, nah.
