It would definitively would be nice to try it out, but I do not have a controller, as I am a PC gamer, so probably I won't.

Hmmm, is anyone else seeing this as getting slightly closer to people gaming in sensory deprivation tanks and forgetting what reality is? Sort of like the calculator to a very Skynet apocalypse.

If the technology was usefully implemented then could be interesting, bit one dimensional though with only temperature

There have already been controllers with fans to keep hands cool. I don't know why I would ever want my controller to be warm. Nor, in the case of a wireless controller, why I would want unnecessary features that would inevitably drain the battery more quickly.

(In fairness, I'm still a little on the fence about rumble.)

I find rumble distracting, so no. I don't want cheap gimmicks, I want a plug in my brain so I can play games like in The Matrix. That is the ultimate controller - Thought.

I think if a controller was going to try and immerse you into the environment of the game it would have to warm/cool more than your hands.

Wouldn't mind one with automatic cooling.
Me either, as I'm one of these unfortunate types to get sweaty palms when holding a controller.

The last thing I'd want though, is for the controller to heat up, making my problem even worse!

I've seen controllers sold on Amazon that are supposed to combat sweaty palms. Don't know how well they work, tho.

It doesnt scald or freeze, simply changes temperature a little. Would certainly be interesting, dont think I'd fork out the millions they would want for it though.

I would much rather enjoy not having a controller that causes pain when I use it, thanks.

its......um.....interesting but completely pointless. I don't really see how it would make it more immersive and for most games, unless all games make it so you can choose for the character to wear gloves, it wouldn't do anything

uhhh no it just sounds like a gimmick
this is definitely a strange turn tho
when the PS3 first game out it was all like "rumble is so old school" with the sixaxis and all haha

Probably not. But I WOULD like a controller that has a setting for it that isn't influenced by the game. My hands get cold sometimes...

I also think it's completely pointless. How is a rising or decreasing temperature that's restricted to your hands going to make anything more immersive?
In shooting games it can be immersive. As the weapon heats up ingame, so does your controller.
