I was REALLY tempted by that power armor, but, realistically, the cloaking device is the only one with any profitable real-world applications.

Well, unless you count the portal gun's ability to create infinite amounts of energy, solve global warming, and make potentially infinite amounts of money...

I like how everyone is saying "cloaking device", when it is a "game technology" poll and pretty much every cloaking device in games only makes you invisible to the "untrained" eye. Gravity gun would be pretty fun and make it easier to move/lift stuff around when moving. Start a moving business and make a ton...

Only practical use I can think of for power armor is hunting down Al Gore and punching him in the face for being a moron. Global warming my ass. Ever since they start spreading around that bunch of lies it has gotten gradually colder every year. Not to mention the people that still go on about it being a problem make me laugh and lose any respect at all for them.

Cloaking device. Portal Gun is a close second but, nothing beats being able to turn invisible whenever you wanted. Actually, mind reading beats turning invisible.

Like TheNamlessGuy said, a Portal Gun works as a substitute for everything else, so I'll choose that. Thank you, Mr. Djinn. Oh, and can't she be a female one instead?

Portal Gun hands down. I could either have a portal in my room and my gf's who lives 400+ miles away for constant use. Or I could open a portal from England to like, America and charge a shit ton of cash for instant travel.

Definitely a cloaking device, all the others are pointless because I don't fight.

I don't really understand or trust the physics of the Gravity and Portal guns, I don't have any use for any kind of guns, plus I'd probably horrifically injure myself using them since I'm not a computer game character.

Power Armour is pointless because it's illegal to wear armour in the street, and it's only purpose is to protect the wearer from attack, but I don't want ever be in a situation where I would need any kind of armour.
It would become so coveted by the authorities that they would keep hounding you until they wore you down and stole it. Also I'm not fit enough to utilise power armour, and would eventually collapse wearing it.

A cloaking device would have lots of uses though, and I wouldn't have to worry about combat or being discovered because nothing would be able to detect me.

Gravity Gun: Too much damn work.
Power Armor: Oh please, get original.

Cloaking Device: Go where I want, when I want, wearing whatever I choose. So in this case I'd sneak into Best Buy naked in the middle of the day, climb up to the rafters, decloak, flash everyone, recloak, and make off with some loots in the ensuing panic.

Also, is it just me, or is The Escapist going really slow with loading times for pages? I always have to wait for "connecting to advertangel.com". Really slowing down my browsing.
