Joss Whendon's filmography and nominations are impressive. This is good news.

Whedon's track record for movies is excellent. I absolutely loooooved Serenity, so yes, I am really looking forward to this.

Did you watch the show it was finishing? And was based off of?

Oh and I could care less. Yet, I've heard Edward Norton will not be playing The Hulk. If thats true, then it kind of drops in awesomeness for me.

I could care less... and I could care less about all the people that say "it's 'I couldn't care less'". Who really cares? It gets the point across. "Same difference" is far more annoying...

*EDIT* Just to clarify (because apparently an admin took it the wrong way) the bit insulting Americans was a joke. The part about Americans not seeming to notice how it makes no sense was an observation. Sorry if that offended anyone.

Mostly why people say it the "wrong" way is because it rolls off the tongue better...

I'm in a bit of a quandary here; this makes me both excited AND unhappy. I mean, as a Whedon fan, this obviously increases my enthusiasm for the Avengers movie, but, as a Whedon fan, I'd really rather he were directing something new and original...

Also, this is news? I don't remember the word "rumor" being attached when I was reading about this a couple months ago, though admittedly that doesn't count for much.

Who's Joss Wheadon? ^.^ Sorry but somehow i don't can't associate something with him. Has Probably to do with the fact that i just got up.

Forgive me if this has already been said but I like the fact that Joss is a comics fan. He knows the source material. He knows the characters. His Astonishing X-Men run was on of the best written Marvel storylines of the last decade (at least in my opinion). Hopefully this gives him a bit of an edge in bringing these characters to life whilst staying true to the feel of the comics.
