No one quests anymore because of that damn LFG system (they should disable it til you reach the level cap really but that's just me, being the squinty eyed old codger I am)
I used to be an ol' vet also, I came back recently (and quit again because it started eating my soul once again) and was blown away by the lfg system also. I see where you're coming from but I loved just being able to say "BACK IN MY DAY WE DIDN'T HAVE THIS FANCY OL' LFG SYSTEM. If we wanted to do a dungeon we RAN there and we put together a team ourselves!"

I won't really miss it since I don't play anymore, but it was one of my favourite parts of the game.

I love the barrens, even being alliance, it's probably why i don't hate it, not having to quest there and all, but i love the simplicity of the barrens, some may find it boring, but it remains one of my favourite zones. I'll be sad to see it go.

The part i'll miss most though is probably Rachet. that quaint seaside village run by friendly goblins :p. Rachet and Booty Bay have always been my favourite towns.

Gods below, no. I had prayed for a a ginormous crack through that bloody area after making my first horde character.

I will miss it in way,but that said I welcome a refreshing chance.

Though,as a member of the Alliance,my fondest memories will be the raids on crossroads,pre-BC and all.

Good times,good times.
Me too

I also remember my friends preparing a raid on crossroads, then me (being horde) preparing a counterraid at the crossroads, and then we would totally own them.

Never went there to level, I only remember passing through to get to Tanaris and thinking "God, this place is too big."

No one asking me about Mankrik's Wife anymore...

Could be a good thing, you know?

The zone was huge and very encompassing. Anywhere from like 10-25, you could be there. I'm glad they're changing it a bit.

The Barrens completely lost all appeal after TBC, simply because the Ghostlands provided much better rewards, and then the LFG system gutted its corpse. Hell, on my realm, the Alliance doesn't even bother raiding the Crossroads anymore. Then again, my realm sucks. But anyway, Barrens, you will always hold a place in my heart as the place where I leveled my first character, but you have lived, and now you die. Hopefully your new incarnation will be better.

I liked the barrens enough to sneak my Alliance characters in, so yes, I'll miss it. Not that I intend to play Cataclysm, but still.

I'm trying to get 3 toons through there now... and its not fun at all. That place is just so big and soooooo boring it takes to long to go from crossroads to anywhere w/o a mount. Im happy that there splitting it... I just wish they changed the northern part more.

I gues I will a little, some good memories there, not as much as in Tirrisfal glades, sylverpine or hillsbrad, but hey...
