Come on people what about Morrowind/Oblivion, Dungeon Keeper, Planescape Torment,or Fallouts 1 & 2, I mean more open ended RPGs have lots of room for creativity.

*edit but if i had to do a straight up story conversion i would choose either the myth series or Oni by Bungie. /edit*

Metal Gear would translate well to anime. Just up the cyberpunk a bit.

Would it be every bit as confusing as the games are? If not, then it won't work.

A BioShock anime would not be good, imo. Don't get me wrong, I loved the game. But an anime would require the characters talking, and we all know Jack doesn't talk beyond the opening cutscene.

Now if it was the building and downfall of Rapture, it would be worth watching.

I think that would work better if they stuck with the CGI style they already have and just prettied it up.

I'd like to see FF6 turned into an anime. I loved that one. I know that FF as a 'series' or 'franchise' already has a handful of anime's.. but whatever, I love it

Legend of Zelda would probably translate well as an animated series. There is a lot of great games here. Make an animated series based off one of the game's stories, or make a new story.

Definately need a Phoenix Wright anime. Not only a great game, but it would be perfect for an anime. The characters, the art style, and most of all the fact that it's a Japanese game screams that it needs its own feature.

What games deserve it's own anime? Well Kingdom Hearts is first to come to mind. Lost Odyssey would make a good anime series. Metal Gear Solid definately would be pretty awesome. GOD OF WAR!!!!!! Like the Halo and Batman anime shorts DVD/Blu-Ray compilations. Legend Of Zelda:Ocarina of Time would be perfect for a 26 episode or more anime series. Mega Man X as a lenghty anime as long as Naruto or One Piece... god theose go on forever! One Piece as over 400 episodes in Japan.

Well these are the first to come to mind but I could go on for days listing what games I want as animes.

the problem is they take themselves too seriously. team fortress 2 would be perfect as like a comedic anime.

Is anyone else disappointed that the death of American animation is so final and accepted in the minds of people that when it comes to animated movies that are aimed at audiences beyond children, it's automaticly defaulted to Japanese anime?

As soon as we get films based off Bioshock and God of War.

People don't seem to understand that shitty writing in video games is magnified in movies and ultimately kills the franchise when it ultimately bombs

None. I think "deserves" is an odd word choice there. It's not that I rabidly hate anime or anything, I just don't particularly care for the ones I've seen or the idea of a game I like being made into anime (or any non-game medium for that matter). I won't refuse to watch it on the grounds that it's automatically crap. I'll just neglect to watch until someone forces me or it becomes so popular that I have to watch it, because I don't really care that much.

Depending on how many better things I have to do at the time, I might watch some of an okami anime to test it out. I just have enough trouble keeping up with things I like. I had to borrow the most recent season of Dexter because I waited so long to watch the last episode that my DVR erased it to make room.

I'd watch the TF2 anime, definitely. Though the L4D anime would be awesome too. I didn't like the FF: Unlimited anime too much.

Ah, damn you and your new avatar! It's making me crazy! But it's funny at the same time, but it surely is making me crazy.

OT: Well, I can't really decide, but I would go for an Animatrix style movie of American McGee's Alice, FEAR (if it hasn't already been done), Hitman, System Shock 2, Beyond Good and Evil, Half Life or Silent Hill.

But is that really what everyone thinks, or is it just that we're so steeped in this whole "geek culture" thing that we don't get enough outside opinions? ...is what I was going to say before I remembered the animated section of the DVD racks everywhere I've been in the last couple years.
