I think i'd go with a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. anime.

Storywise it should bear similiarities with Shadow of Chernobyl, as it would be about a small group trying to reach the center of the zone for the wishgranter.

Their journey could contain highlights such as encounters with a pack of bloodsuckers, a controller or a pseudogiant an passing sites like the red forest or the all famous brain scorcher. They could also mix it up with elements from Call of Pripyat. I would love to see the oasis-quest in there. The underground passage and passing Pripyat itself would also fit very good i think. Although i'd like to see a more distorted, overgrown and mutated version of Pripyat. Call of Pripyat had some nice locations but i could imagine seeing it even at a more extreme level.

Eventually they would reach the wishgranter, but start conflicting over it. One of them could even be a agent of Monolith.

The action scenes could take its turns with more calm moments that try to catch the emotionally catch the depressing desolation of the zone.

That would be a must-view for me!

I'd most like to see BioShock have it's own anime and have the steampunk art deco style recreated in to an animation.
I agree very much with this. The visual elements are already fantastic and there's a lot o potential for a good downfall story. I think Bioshock would definitely be an interesting one.

Metal Gear would translate well to anime. Just up the cyberpunk a bit.
Would it be every bit as confusing as the games are? If not, then it won't work.
I used to think the games were confusing, but as long as you see the big picture at all times, it just about makes sense. Also, I find that people's perceptions and interpretations of the games are, to a very large degree, entirely personal. That leads to a bit of confusion.

I'd prefer there be no more animes but since that's not gonna happen...

I'll just vouche for Okami instead.

Final fantasy already do. Final Fantasy Unlimited and The sequal to final fantasy V.
But if they made one more closer to the originals games, I would be interested.

Chrono Trigger. It already has Akira Toriyama designed artwork, I think it'd make an epic anime series.

Is anyone else disappointed that the death of American animation is so final and accepted in the minds of people that when it comes to animated movies that are aimed at audiences beyond children, it's automaticly defaulted to Japanese anime?
The only animated movies I can think of that weren't aimed at children (and were not anime/hentai) are the South Park and Drawn Together movies.

And if you think American animation is dead then you must not be counting computer animation.

Heck the last movie from Pixar got nominated for best picture.
No, I'm not counting 3D Animation because its not quite the same as hand-drawn. Both have their strengths and styles, and while I'm into the 3D end of things, I really thing hand-drawn animation needs to be focused on as much, if not more than 3D.

Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. Everything about it, from the characters, to the setting, to the scenario, would fit it well.
