Basically the way I feel about this is, I'd be evil, but only insofar as the people perceive me. IE, I'd basically give the world an enemy they can unite against, for their own good.

These choices suck. Evil, sorta evil, definitely good, chicken.

I voted for "hide my powers," though I gave up on normalcy a long time ago.

Neither. I would become the world most amazing busker. Make of that what you will, but i will make a fortune in small change!
Sounds more profitable than superheroing. Would you be a street musician or one of those fire jugglers or just display your powers?

If I became a superhero, I would most certainly use my powers for good. If I was a supervillain however, I would probably use them for ill. The difference usually seems to lie in how much physical disfigurement is involved in obtaining the superpowers. But I'm not exactly a traditional comics expert. My favorite comic as a kid was The Tick.

Strange. The results are quite not what I expected.

I would also be good.

I think bad is a bit cliche, not to mention too boring for me (and depending on the specific super powers, I suspect I would be able to stomach it).

Oh, well. I like to think that it's one of those "hypothetical" scenarios, where you might answer one thing on a survey, but do a totally different thing if it happens in real life.

When I get back home, I shoot myself with some gamma rays while a spider walks up my hand and tell you how it turns out...

For me it depends on what the powers are. If its invulnerability with some fun add-ons like Superman, I'd done a mask and help people out. If its a single power thats fairly situational, I'd keep it under wraps.

If you're good at something, never do it for free. I wouldn't hurt anyone, but I could certainly see myself exploiting my power for large sums of cash :D

Since generally using superpowers for your own agenda and to satisfy your own egoism is considered to be villainous i'll stick to that. Not to mention being evil has plenty of benefits. Minions, fancy costumes, monumental headquarters, riches, lovers to name just a few.

On the other hand your average superhero has a crappy sub-standard apartment they have to pay monthly rent for with at least one annoying neighbour or landlord, they have to grab some lazy job that pays crap and won't get them fired if they rush to the rescue, their relationships are usually disaster and all the stress leads to emotional issues and talking to ornamental elements on top of buildings... Only a few managed to escape that part of their heroic destiny and that's usually mostly because they had filthy rich parents that just happened to die.

Well, I'd uphold my standards of justice, which don't always seem to allign with those of the general public. So I guess I'd do the vigilante thing.

I'd pay for living expenses with all the money I clain from the bodies when I'm done; one or two gang busts would do me for months anyway, assuming I live a simple lifestyle.

Id do things that I'd prefer not to call DIRECT evil..
Rob a couple of banks to set me up with some cash, x-ray vision attractive women, etc. But I'd draw the line at beating people up becauase I could, or killing for the sake of it.
And I wouldn't go out of my way to seek out injustice.

I was ready to vote for good until the question was sullied by clarifying 'lawful' good. Sorry, if I had superpowers, chaotic good is the only way to go. I don't even understand how you -get- lawful good, given lawful characters invariably seem blinded by their I MUST ADHERE TO MY MORAL CODE and end up committing unthinkable atrocities. The law serves humanity, not the other way round.

So yeah. I'd be good, I'd help people, and I'd do it based on the harm principle, not the legal code of the country.

I'd call myself an Angel sent from heaven and do the bidding of the Righteous One...

Hahaha, no, really, I dunno... But what I do know for certainty, is that I would end up abusing my powers, one way or another.
It's an inevitability.

I'd use them to be a vigilante, stomping ruthlessly on the opressive. Being an outwardly good, altruistic superhero exposes you to a fatal weakness. All the baddy has to do is hold a gun to an innocent person's head and then you're hamstrung into backing down.

I would be anonymous, striking out and disappearing into the shadows without so much as a calling-card.
