Depends on the powers I get. I'd love teleportation because I can have all the fun I want with little responsibility.

Really depends on what the powers were.

A lot of powers could prolly be used more constructively than crime fighting, and lots of offensive combat oriented powers can't really do shit weapons can't accomplish already.

Whats the big deal about beeing able to shoot fireballs in a fight if you could just use a gun?

Lets take spiderman for example, while the spider sense and über physical skills are nice, he would fare way betetr in combat if he used a gun, and he'd prolly be dead several times if his enemies could actually hit shit with their weapons.
And in case of vigilantee justice, if the police wanted to captrue him, they would prolly find him out eventually.

Generally, if your powers doesn't offer you invulnerbillity/resistance or some otehr emans to protect you from gunfire, you're not that much at an advantage really, and you're prolly not gonna be a hero for long before you'll become a dead hero.

So spuerman-ish level powers, sure fight crime, don't give a shit about what people think, not like they can do shit anyways, but smaller advantages like most superheroes, i'd prolly find a safer way to use them, and let the police handle what they're already betetr at than i would with my newfound powers.

If it was powers that could be used to fight crimne in a less direct combat way (think professor X, invisibillity etc) i'd prolly ask tyhe police if they could use my powers, and if not find someone else who could.

Secretly using my powers for Lawful Good purposes but keeping them a secret from the general populace. If Smallville has taught me one thing it has to be that. Of course, unlike in Smallville I would tell the secret of my powers to my trustworthy friends straight away,

Depends on the power.
Suppose you have healing powers, how are you going to use them to do evil? By not using them?

Define Good and Evil. I would certainly abuse people's personal liberties in my quest to fix the world. Many people would die even, but the end result would be a system of government where the overwhelming majority can live their lives content and in peace.

Abuse my powers to accomplish mundane tasks. Why? Because I could say that I used a superpower to do said task.

I want to vote for use my powers for immoral means, it isn't evil per say but definitely not good. I'm hoping for invisibility or at least xray vision, then go find some hot chicks to stalk. Though if I had the ability to blow people up with my mind I'd use it for good and explode everyone on the Jersey Shore.

Doesn't the term "superhero" imply that we are good? It'd be like asking "If you were a supervillain, would you use your powers for good or evil?" Right there, the word "supervillain" answers the question for ya (of course, that's if we're being literal here).

OT: As for myself, I'd probably do an Iron Man thing where I openly use my powers with good intentions, whether they are good actions or not. ;)

Doesn't the question imply being good?
it asks us If you were a superhero, would you use your powers for good or evil?
but isn't the word Hero kind of connected to the concept of being good?

better question : if you had superpowers, would you use your them for good or evil?

I would do pretty much whatever the h*ll I want, and try to keep my identity secret. But I would get bored without a nemesis, so if I'm considered good and no one bothers me, I'd probably have to piss off some governments. Of course, it all depends on the power.

I would be like Spider-man. Only probably less efficient and funny. Also, with a less form fitting costume.

That would be EPIC!!! Imagine holding a press conferense, saying "I have the cure for every disease in the world!", prove it, and then tell 'em all to f*ck off and disappear!
