the number of things I've experienced in my life would take days to type out, so I'll just stick to the highlights. Ever since I was born I've dealt with paranormal stuff in some form or another. The house that I grew up in for the first 12 or so years of my life was a farm house in western NY that dated back to the 1800's, and i remember a lot of the things that my family dealt with. We believe that the house was part of the underground railroad, because that went right through the area that we lived in. We had all kinds of activity, to the point where it was disturbing.
My family was catholic, so we had crucifixes and such throughout the house, and there were times that we would come home and every single one was turned upside down on the walls. There was a night that my aunt was staying with us, sleeping on the couch, and she woke up to see a black figure hovering over her. She screamed and my father ran downstairs to see what was happening, it turned and looked at him and he said it was like his entire body froze, then it turned, floated down the hall, and vanished. There was always a feeling that something was watching us, and eventually my parents decided that with the severity of things happening we needed to have a prayer group do a deliverance on the house.
They ended up having to do it twice because the first time everyone in the group was struck by a blinding migraine while they were praying, they ended up having to take turns laying hands on each other to pray for each other so they could make it through it. After that the majority of disturbing things stopped, but there were always still strange things happening, things would disappear and reappear a week later in plain sight. We were eating dinner one night and kept hearing thuds, but we figured it was our cats. Well we kept hearing them so finally we went to check what was going on and we found our huge lantern flashlight dismantled and laid out in a straight line along the floor. A lot of poltergeist type activity.
Also there's a place in western NY called the Van Horn Mansion, and it was reputed to be haunted by the spirit of a girl who was murdered in the house. People would see her in the upstairs window, walking across the road late at night, things like that. Well they did tours of this house a lot, and my family went on one because I wanted to, ever since living in that house I've been fascinated by the paranormal. I didn't see anything but there was one room upstairs that was supposedly her bedroom, and i could not for the life of me bring myself to cross the threshold of that room. I had never felt anything like it before. (on a side note they ended up finding human remains in the yard of the house that were identified as the girl and given a proper burial, since then there has been no recorded activity in the mansion)
