OT: Take a guess...I dare you X3
Yoooooou... wanna join the ghostbuster?

OT- Yes I do believe I ghosts. I just don't think any show on t.v. based on paranormal phenomenon is legit.... along with every other reality show... this is why I don't watch that much t.v. and spend most of my time on the 360!

Yes
I haven't seen one personally but there does seem to be quite a lot of evidence proven the paranormal.
They could be poltergeists, spirits, apparitions, or some other type of thing that shows the reality of ghosts.

I don't know, nobody has proven that they exist but nobody has proven that they don't so I'll keep an open mind on the matter. I do think shows like 'most haunted' don't exactly help though.

I don't believe ghosts are real.

But if they were real, I'm sure they have better things to do than going around scaring the living.

Probably not, but we don't really know eh?
I don't think that we can say for certain that they don't exist, but since they haven't been a problem, I don't think we should really care at this point.

I lived with a benign ghost for several years. My parents bought their current house when I was three years old, and me and my brother were often in the room around the corner from the stairwell (no halls in the house) either as a shared bedroom or preferred playroom since it offered more floor space for toys. It was an almost daily occurrence for a shadow to walk through the room. And I don't mean along the well, it was as if a person was there, but transparent and featureless. He--it was male in appearance at least, broad shoulders and no breasts--would walk around the corner out of the stairwell, go past us (or around us if we were in the walking path it usually took) and walk through the door into the attic stairwell. We opened the door a few times to see if it went all the way up, but it had always disappeared by then.

I don't recall ever seeing him again after we remodeled the attic into another bedroom. My little sister uses that room now, and it's harder to substantiate her claims as a ghost, but she says she often hears breathing and her touch-lamp gets turned off every so often.

The house isn't without some current activity, too. A few years back, an apparition showed up that simply walks across the front porch. It's normally something you catch out of the corner of your eye. My mom first noted it because she always keeps half an eye out for when the mail comes (she works at home) and started getting faked out by swearing she saw the mailman go by but wouldn't find mail in the box. Shortly after this began, she learned that the old lady that owned the house before she did--who often drove by to see what kind of changes they were doing to the house, she specifically loved the bay window they put in the front--had died a few weeks ago. So, we call that particular apparition by her name.

EDIT: Worth adding, I chuckle a little at all the "they don't exist they can't exist don't ask me about it"-type posts people have added. Reminds me of my wife. She insists quite fiercely that there's no way ghosts can be real, but godamn if she didn't refuse to sleep upstairs at my parents' house for a few years because she didn't want risk seeing a ghost and being freaked out. For the record, she did see the porch apparition a few times and has a hilarious reaction each time once she realizes what just happened, and still insists 'we just overlooked things' when items are missing for a few hours before turning up on top of other items that had been moved while searching for it.

Well I have to say that I never believed in ghosts. But I belive in the paranormal to an extent. For instance I think some Psychics (did I spell that right?) can really read your mind or pick up on things. I remember going to a one once when i was younger and really fascinated by all of this and he knew things which I had never told anyone before... well I hope he was psychic!

Anyone who sees a ghost or anything like it is in fact just experiencing hallucination or self-hypnosis. Both of these things happen a lot more often than you think anyway.

I can't really say I doubt their existence. It is certainly possible. But until I see some actual proof, I will always be skeptical.

I don't believe in most haunting stories, but I believe in ghosts. Do I believe they're the same thing as most of the stories about them describe them as? No. But I do believe in earth-trapped spirits and that's it (I'm still uncertain about the whole "interacting with the realm of the living" thing).

I don't believe in ghosts.

my girlfriend does.

however, she thinks that because I don't believe in ghosts, I don't like ghost stories or ghost movies.

which is sort of silly, because I don't believe in dragons either, but I love movies about dragons (except maybe Eragon)

I don't, and for simple reason. A lot of people have been talking about being open-minded about possibilities, but if you honestly did that, you'd have to be open-minded about the Lock Ness Monster, Big Foot, Reptiloid Aliens who run England, Lady Gaga being the Anti-Christ (along with about a million other people), and the invisible pink unicorn. I would change my mind if I saw convincing evidence of a ghost, but until then I firmly say, as I do to all of those other things, that it is entirely reasonable to assume as fact that they do not exist.

I dont know. in eleventh grade this girl did a report on how if you're a religious person or believe at all in anything after this life, you have to beleive in ghosts, becuase not beleive is saying you dont believe in god.

However, since i'm not very religious, i cant answer. I'd have to say yes, they do, because to become a saint, you have to do three "miracles" AFTER you die.

Yeah, but I have yet to see one. Mostly, I just don't want to discount them totally (Nobody's seen God either but you'll be hard pressed to get people to stop believing in him). I think the standard image of ghosts being "evil" is also a load of bologna.

And wtf is with the last option there. How many times do I have to say it: Including a "ridiculous" option in a poll will ALWAYS cause people to choose it.

I'm in the camp of 'Not Sure.' It's probably becuase I want to belive in Ghosts and Paranormal things, but I probably need some evidence for it first.

Doesn't stop me getting chills in spooky places though.
