I think your confusing the Elites with the Brutes, The brutes are the giant gorillas with the crapy guns while the Elites are more like giant bipedal lizards with guns that shoot concentrated death and destruction.

In my group of friends that use to play Halo 3 customs, a couple of them liked to play as an Elite. One of our other friends, every time he would beat one of them down he would shout, "Bad dinosaur!"

Because those of us who aren't slobbering fanboys like to know how many more of us also don't like the series.

Besides, I find it interesting that more people don't like Halo at all then like Elites.

I wasn't specifically referring to this poll. It happens on every single one referring to a game, book or film.

An unknown percentage of the people who don't like Halo will click on the poll, so a reasonable estimate cannot be made by using the poll's results. So, instead of providing insight regarding the popularity of the races in Halo: Reach, this poll is useless. It doesn't reveal any information about anything.

Meleeing as an elite against a spartan is terrible, half the time they seem to duck under your attack making you have to turn all the way for fear of assassination.

So obviously I like the smaller and faster spartan.

I used to like spartans

but then i played halo 1 on the most dificult setting... and the "elites" where such a pain to kill (2 full clips and 3 beat downs EACH) that i changed for those... it just made them so much more cool in my book

and the armours in Halo 3 are awesome IMO

Also, too many people jumped the "I hate Halo" bandwagon that snowballed since Halo 2, which explains the votes for the third option.

Exactly. The author of this poll has an ulterior motive behind this. Not to gauge an understanding of which race is popular, but more to get a reading of how much people dislike Halo.

Alot of these people are bad kids who haven't been able to BR in H2/H3 and gave up in Reach because they faced the reality that they suck at Halo, more than disliking it.

These people moved onto easier multiplayer FPS games, like Modern Warfare 2. An overmarketed, gimmicky shooter which destroyed the interest I had in Infinity Ward Call of Duty titles.

The author wanted to see a flame war, he's getting a motherfucking flame war. I've given my oh-so-bias-but-so-true post, so fire away CODfags. I want to get off on this shit.
