Eh, I've never really been a Green Lantern fan in the first place. So... eh.

Also... Ryan Reynolds? Isn't he supposed to be in the Deadpool movie as well?

To me it looks almost like the green lines could pulse with energy, which is a nice touch. The mask, however, is a little ridiculous. Hopefully that's just the angle of the shot or some bad photo editing.

Pfft, Hahaha!

That looks stupid as hell.

Plus, the actor, Ryan Reynolds looks like Will Ferrell. Therefore, I cannot take this Green Lantern seriously.

Why, whenever there is a comic-superhero-to-movie adaption, do people get so... er... opinionated about the costume?
I was just thinking the same thing, just look at all these nitpicks. I'm a Green Lantern Fan and I'm perfectly fine with this.

I'm more concerned about some of the people who they have as these new super heroes. Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogan. These are not haha jokey laugh roles that they've been asked to play. I suppose I'll have to wait and see if they treat the roles with the respect that they are due.

I kind of like it. The Green Lantern's traditional costume was pretty tame as far as super hero costumes went, but I think this fits just fine.

As many have said, it looks like a green-glowing Crysis nanosuit.

Its not bad, but just not good.

I wouldn't be too quick to worry about that. Ryan Reynolds has done roles that aren't Van Wilder before, and he's done pretty well. Check out 'The Nines' and 'School of Life.' They're pretty good. Seth Rogan's character is a bit of a long shot, I'll admit. I don't really even like him as an actor myself, but considering The Green Hornet started as a radio show in the 1930s I don't really know anyone who would pull that off well now. Or anyone that would watch it, for that matter.

The suit is fine, but that mask is atrocious.
Word. It looks like a bad photoshop that some website created to match a spy-report from the set. Not an officially released still that's supposed to be unveiling of the costume.

As for the suit, i'm more interested in seeing how it moves. But no amount of motion is going to fix that mask. Bad photo.

Ah, so that is Ryan Reynolds...

Honestly, not a good choice. In X-men Origins: Wolverine, he played Deadpool. Which was absolutely perfect. It's a shame his role was, at best, underplayed. At worst, completely ruined. If there was ever a Deadpool movie, Ryan Reynolds should play him. Not the Green Lantern.
He's actually slated to play Deadpool in a spin-off movie that has nothing to do with Origins. More 'Deadpool-y' of a movie.

I find it sad that Hollywood can't make comic book movies look better - cosplayers are totally kicking ass when it comes to making characters seem like they just walked out of this month's issue.

These guys already have everything anyone could want to make a believable, yet 'true-to-comics' Green Lantern. It's totally stupid that Warner Brothers can't just make a damn internet order, save a million dollars of 'costume research', AND keep nerds like me happy.

Sorry, Green Lantern movie. I want to like you (GL is one of my favorites), but you keep making it very hard for me.

Ech..doesn't look that good, if you ask me.

It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't playing Hal - that image just screams "Kyle Rayner" to me. If he was playing Kyle, then it'd be superb. But I don't know..we'll see.
