The suit is fine, but that mask is atrocious.
Could be worse, it could be Kyle Rayner's crab mask

I'm fine with it I suppose, seeing as how I know all green lanterns have different uniforms and I'm sure Hal has had different designs over the years. Although why couldn't they just for the old classic?

Pfft, Hahaha!

That looks stupid as hell.

Plus, the actor, Ryan Reynolds looks like Will Ferrell. Therefore, I cannot take this Green Lantern seriously.
Um....no.

Very much NOT like will Ferrell.
In the Green Lantern picture he does.

He looks like Ben Stiller.
On first sight me and my girlfriend thought it was.

And it looks ok, very Crysis and the mask is kinda NightWing-ish. But it does the job.

It's certainly not unusual for a superhero's costume to get an overhaul when it hits the big screen, but I'm not convinced this was the right direction. What say you about the costume: On Target or Off Track?
Definitely OT. : P

Does anyone else think they should ditch the mask all together and go with the glowing green eyes look that they give John Stewart?

They operate in space a lot and they are friggin super cops so it doesn't seem like alternate identities are truly necessary to the character.

It looks alright, I suppose.
Although, it doesn't look as much like a Green Lantern suit as much as it looks like his skin is glowing green.
Agreed; he could have used more black to break up the green.

Good to see that not only I imagined this as a Green Nano-Suit Lanter hybrid.

It makes sense I suppose, what with it being alien tech and all, but really? That's what they're going with?

What was wrong with going withe something like this?

I think that would have looked fine on screen.
Yeah, I miss the black arm and leg parts and the white gloves too. After all, he is supposed to be Hal Jordan, right? So he should wear his costume. That's like repainting Superman's outer underwear!

But I won't finally judge it before seeing it (on premiere day if in any way possible). It may work anyway...

I like the suit, but the mask needs some work. But a digital suit I don't know if I like...call me old fashioned, but while the design is cool, I wouldn't mind actually seeing him wear it.

The original costume is awesome.

It looks modern and classic at the same time - it's just so good.

This looks "alright", I'll wait to see how it looks on screen though.

I think thats kinda the idea.... Green Lantern is supposed to be basically a space cop who is part of a space police force that is equipped and funded by hyper intelligent super advanced beings from another star system that is ridiculously far away. Technically he's a "technology" based superhero.... so the costume idea works. Its a very fair update to the old school look. Imagine what it would look like if Ryan Reynolds was literally wearing full body green and black spandex.... It would be disgusting, and the movie would be awful simply because of that alone.

Personally I think it looks fine although I'm not actually a fan of the Green Lantern comics, I just kind of know he exists and that's it.
Effectively this. I know of the green lantern, and I know a little folklore about his crime fighting activities, I just know very little about him.

So I'm not against it, no.
