It simply restricts the SALE of a violent game to someone
The problem with the law is its vagueness. It doesn't define violence, the level of violence, or anything. For example, under the law, this could be banned from sale to minors:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snoopy_vs._the_Red_Baron

I've played that game. There is no blood, anything, its very cartoonish. Yet, it is "violent" in the terms that you fight other airplanes as a beagle piloting a doghouse. But it is still violent, and thus could be banned from sale.

EDIT: OK, maybe I just WANTED to pilot the fricking dog house.

OHH NO! NO HEAVY RAIN! (ok ok I will put away mah fanboyism for this topic)
while I agree, I still think devs will be forced in a way to try something new... or fail.
I don't know about you but I am getting bored of FPS.
Censorship will not make FPSs go away.

It just means that FPSs will be less likely to go beyond the norm. No more BioShock. No more Half Life 2.

Just an endless wake of shovelware fpss that stay 'family friendly' by having no gore or message.
I could see them having an issue with Bioshock, but maybe not HL2. but then again to them all games are "the work of the devil"
The Censors won't have issues with Half Life, because Half Life won't be made. No one will make games that push the edge because no one wants to put up with the cost if they go too far.

It will be the death of innovation, the death of the media being taken seriously as art, and it will have financial repercussions as well. It would be BAD for the industry and BAD for gamers.

oh, i didnt say that, i meant to say i dont take wiki for granted, also, people might be wrong and put U.S in some developer that is in another coutry, that´s all i meant, i actually looked at the list and saw your point, not need to be "acid" about it.
