The red flag was this; "Hammersmith's life was hardcore military from the get-go: his father fired live rounds at him when he was eight years old "to desensitize him" and then turned him over to a United States Marine Corps program when he was 12."

Please.
That's not training, that is ridiculous child abuse, and the marines don't accept fucking 12 year olds lol, how the hell did he get away with it for this long?

Reading this guy's short 'life description' that you gave me indicts that anyone who believed that these stories were real also must believe that gullible is in the dictionary... twice. The fact that he moved the book from non-fiction to fiction indicts he would lose in a court battle and does not want to be sued. It sounds a lot like an admission of guilt.

It's funny, because in order to become SF you need to enlist (or commission) go through regular training, then pass selections. All of which would appear in your military record.

And if you do write a book about declassified ops some of the info is still classified and can't be used. And if the ops are in fact sensitive and still classified you can go to jail.

Hence Richard Marcinko's biography (the real one, not his rogue warrior series) he actually did time for publishing information about the creation of seal team six and the miss hap at fort knox.

And that was just "training" missions he got arrested for.

edit: And i know some SF soldiers and retired SF soldiers, their rank and military file can be accessed through AKO and you can see that yes in fact they enlisted in the army. IT wont tell you about missions they have done, but their record is there. So the fact that he removed his rank and changed the story to fiction leads me to believe his lawyers informed him that he could be sent to jail for impersonating a soldier.

People thought this was true in the first place? Just reading the description I can smell the bs spewing from his ass.

Someone tell me that it was at least well-written. Maybe then I can understand why people would want to believe it.

Wow, this author just got his shit wrecked... That's hilarious. Good for the Professional Soldiers. I'm always glad to see some painless research undoing a complex lie.

Yeah...I knew this was a fraud when I read the name "Wolfgang Hammersmith." People are really stupid enough to believe such crap?

I'm sure when the soldiers read "I used my Akimbo shotguns as I bunnyhopped across the Favela to t-bag my opponent then use my elite trained knowledge of camping spots to spam my M203 using my one man army training..." they realized something was up.

Yeah, the whole part about his early life is an immediate bullshit indicator.

So according to some research done by one of the people on the Professional Soldiers thread on this guy, his real name is Steven, he changed his name to his current one in the early nineties...

He may as well called himself Trent Steelgun, and claimed he was raised by ninja wolves.

Isn't rule number one of being a super secret black ops operative is not to talk about what you have done?
