Shiny Badges, a post counter, a site with 100% gamers (even if some are the Halo/CoD only sort), and these guys called "Loading Ready Run".

The brilliant news and content from the Escapist staff. Other websites don't offer the depth of analysis the escapist does. The forums and user groups are also awesome. I'd play Genre Wars, but I spend too much time here as it is.

I've been here for 2 years now, and show no sign of leaving.

I came here originally because this is Yahtzee's sponsor of sorts. After joining the forums I've found the news articles tend to be interesting and to the point, and the community is better than a lot of communities I've seen with a large amount of people.

I am also able to express realistic views and give evidence that contradicts common fallacies, and not get in trouble for it as long as I'm respectful and don't flame anyone.

Don't know. The good and bad side is the fact that the forum is huge in terms of users. Good side: always something to read or post.
Bad side: Too many topics and posts. I don't have the time to keep up with everything.

Well, I've got a handy list that I'll abridge for the sake of brievity.

1. The community isn't a bunch of dicks like other forum(s) I've been to.
2. Everyone, for the most part, is civil and actually uses English the way it was intended.
3. I enjoy talking about things, not flaming fanboys with "LAWL TEH WEE SUX0RZ".
4. Almost all of my efriends are here.
5. If you need help with something, people here will actually do MORE than link you to Google.
6. I like my RPs. Shame that people shrug them off as post-count injects. Some of my longests posts (actually, no. ALL of my longest posts) have been made in there.

Well here someone is less likely to reply to your post with "LOL FAG", so I guess that's why I stick around.

I can come here and have a civilized conversation about something without having to worry about trolls or flame wars (For the most part).

Well, at this point it's an addiction.
And it's one that I'm happy with, too.
It doesn't hurt that the people here are generally well behaved, and the mods are quick to step in when someone is misbehaving.

Its a active community and some of the members do bring a good discussion to the table. Although I wish there was less of these "What would you do" threads apart from that everything is peachy

I see it got yours to.

I also stay here because it was the first internet forum that I joined, the people and atmosphere is great, with fair mods and interesting topics.

Minus Bob's addiction, I have to agree with this.
While a lot of the topics that get started seem vapid and recycled, there are occasionally some gems that I'll participate in with more than a sarcastic post. Plus, even in the topics I shun there is an absence of the "NO U!" mentality.
