i cant beleive no one after everything u said didnt suggest school rumble.
its not dark, its got an original dragonball like charm and its funny as
it also ticks ur boxes/criteria

theres been like 30+ total suggested and i cant beleive that wasnt one granted i didnt miss anything

also one pice is my fav watch the jap version of that its better than naruto/bleach/full metal and that stuff

If your going to watch Mai HiME then you should also grab Mai Otome and My-Otome Zwei. You might also like Angelic Layer aswell

Full Metal Panic, Gintama, Seto no hanayome, Fate/Stay Night, Seitokai Ichizon, Trigun, Great Teacher Onizuka, Desert Punk, Black Lagoon, Ergo Proxy...but my number one is definitely Gintama - the funniest anime and probably TV show I have ever seen.

The first 20-odd episodes are fillers that set the scene and character relationships. Even the sad and tragic endings have you coming out feeling great.

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. It's a psychological thriller with some pretty bloody parts. If you can stomach it, I recommend it. But stay away from Umineko. I hear the anime adaption sucks a big one.

From what I have seen from Higurashi, I'm not too impressed. Umineko on the other hand I needed to watch from start to finish.
