I have to say that I'm concerned about RA3. I didn't play the original C&C Tiberium-based games, but C&C 3 didn't thrill me all that much. It just doesn't feel as visceral as RA2. Looking at what people have said about RA3, I've drawn up a list of what would encourage me to buy the game, and what would deter me:
Pros:
*Parachuting Bears. PARACHUTING...BEARS.
*Graphics look great
*Naval buildings should add a whole new element of gameplay
*The mechanics of the game seem to have been fleshed out, yet still basically the same
*(Hopefully) it retains the cheesy feel that we've come to know and love.
Cons:
*You got anime in my Red Alert, Just where did this Empire of the Rising Sillybollocks pop up from anyway?
*New Tanya actor...why not just call her something different?
*No nuke for the Soviets. Soviets are all about nukes!
*No Yuri, by the looks of it.
*EA's running it.
So basically, the good bits seem to be equal (to me anyway) to the worries I'm having. I'll buy the game, but I'll be sure to hang on to the receipt.
