I know that feeling. I don't have a success story that doesn't last a couple days (the story itself only covers a couple days, it doesn't take me acoule days to tell it). I'll stop there I don't want to ruin your fun

None of my past relationships have really meant much to me. And several have ended with girls cheating on me. (sad face)

Depends what you mean by SUCCESS.

I told a girl how I felt about her with the intention of her feeling awkward about it and trying to avoid me. It is a success in that it worked, I couldn't stand it, I didn't want to be thinking about someone who was never gonna happen.

Telling her helped me get over her. GG.

Edit for more background information: She and her boyfriend started to "get together" the night I was originally gonna tell her how I felt, a few weeks later making it "official", I then tell her 6 to 8 months later.

Well I was friends with him for a good few months.
Why not try just making friends with girls?
Although I dislike the practice of making friends with people just to try and get with them...

I'm friends with many girls, but they all think I'm interested in one of the other ones. It's strange.

I'm in a similar situation. But, in my case, most of them already have boyfriends, and the ones that don't have probably friendzoned me. At least, I think they have.

my fears more or less have to do with how my family would accept the fact that we are dating... not so much that we are cousins because I couldn't care less about that... I have a conservative and religious family...
