Remember Neopets?

I used to have a blue wolf, and I played for a while every day. I thought, "Play games to get virtual money so I can upgrade a pet of my choosing? Who thought of this?!". Some of the games were a little beyond me, but I played the simple ones and earned lots of money, but the items had a huge gap that went from $500 to $500000 for some uber banana. As the years moved on, I discovered games like Counter-Strike, and Garry's Mod (I got Gmod 9 a little before Gmod 10, and was very happy to see the improvements. I love TTT now ), and moved on to other games. Now I'm playing games like Recettear, The Witcher 2, and Borderlands GOTY (well, those are the last three games I bought, two of which from the Steam sales, the other was on a whim).

Growing up. Happens to us all. You and me are the same, I just stuck to the really simple games and racked up masses of Neopoints to buy plushies. I play games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls occasionally, but my heart is with online flash games.

I remember my sister did that, then I made an account. I liked a few of the minigames, but all I ever wanted was one of the freaking dragons, but they were always unavailable, so I stuck with the griffin thing.

I think it was a chia. He was yellow, and his name was Wibeeboo or something. I couldn't think of a name that wasn't retarded. I lost interest in the site, but felt way too guilty about just not going, so I took him to the pound or whatever. That made me feel almost more guilty than if I'd just abandoned the thing.

It may be, as it seems some of the really old accounts are still up. My brother really wanted a Jetsam, but he could never get one. He had to stick to his lousy old Skeith.

I hated how you had to have special days or meet special requirements to get a certain breed of Neopet. I badly wanted a Cybunny, but oh no, I missed Cybunny day, better wait until next year. And sounds like you had an Eyrie.

I remember not knowing that you could get cash if you played mini-games, so I did that potato-guessing-game every day.

I also remember getting my mom to complete crossword games to help me get money in it, because I was too lazy to do it myself. =D

I played about 10 years ago. Had a Peophin, and got a faerie paintbrush for free one day so it was the prettiest Peophin in Neopia. Haven't been on in many, many years though, and don't plan on returning.

I had a Pteri that I adopted from the orphanage (or whatever they called it). He had some really dumb name that the previous person had given him and I can't remember it now. But he was the first one who popped up and I felt bad for him so there you have it. But yeah, neopets. Dear god, how I loved neopets. When the magazine came out, I was so excited! Ahhh, good times...

I remember, on my first account, being under 13 and feeling bad about lying about my age so I had my dad fax in the parental approval form. I remember getting my account approved and being so thrilled!

I had an account when I was 10 ish, so about 11 years ago now. I loved that site so much! I played it everyday after school and all through the summer holidays. I learnt html and css when I was 10 just so I could jazz up my pets pages

I saved up so much neopoints and managed to buy a paintbrush for each of my pets, I had a faerie peophin, a fire lupe, a white lupe and a faerie gelert I think.

I haven't used that site in years, but to think all those memories have been deleted makes me sad. That like if someone threw away all my old pokemon cards.

awww my one of my pets had the stupidest name. Thats what I get for getting them for the adoption agency

My account is still open, do I use it? No,save for once every blue moon. And my neopets had the randomest names. I think the computer named them. Though I do miss the old days. Maybe I'll check it out again.

Edit 1: Checked it out. Apparently, I was some sort of Petpet thief, becuase I had 1 for each of my pets(4) and 8 in my Safety Deposit Box.

Same! I didn't want to lie about my age, so I just stuck with not having any Neofriends or anything. And then one day I logged on, and I was approved! Turned out my mum had faxed in the sheet from her work. Best day EVAR

I couldn't give away my Neopet. Mostly because it had that "Are you sure? You'll never see your Neopet again! You can't undo this! Your Neopet will miss you! Are you absolutely sure!?" And I'd always pussy out and end up keeping her.
