Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, good game however it spawned a community I can't stand and that is why I wish it never existed.

Final Fantasy XIII
It ruined the series.
I was prepared to overlook many of the flaws in XII, but when XIII came out, I realised that the signs of Squeenix's downfall were all there.

XII was even good to an extent in terms of combat and environment and overall ascetic.....but it lacked necessary content from FF6-10 had, almost going back to basic story and some side quests ( not in a good way)

For me I wish for Spyro A new a beginning; not bad but it led me on to a mediocre series hoping it will get better by the final instalment, it got so much worse by turning spyro in a psedo-Edward Cullen and cynder into Bella Swan in the very last game.......so much rage

To those who say Mass Effect 3, that's not funny, http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=OWDozBLKdJ4&feature=endscreen

But for me, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, decent game but it did so poorly we have not seen my favorite bear and bird duo since :(

Final Fantasy XIII

I've played many games I just didn't like. I have rarely played a game that I actually felt upset to even be playing. The worst of these was Final Fantasy XIII. I grew up on this series, and this just felt so awful. I loved the visuals, but all the characters were awful and unrelatable. The story was meh. The combat had been changed into some weird cinematic thing that I was better off letting the computer run. I didn't mind the Gambit system in FFXII. Why? I actually had to learn the combat, learn my enemies, and earn the abilities through actually playing the game. I felt like I was still doing my combat, but with a system I built to save me from pressing the button. In FFXIII, I just hit X/A over and over. That's it.

I just miss actual story development and character arcs that I actually cared about because I could relate to the character. I got that in some of the older titles, and got an amazing dose of it in Final Fantasy IX.

That, and they made the Adamantoise look more like a grazing elephant. I also miss when running into a Malboro was actually a really bad thing. Bad Breath from FFVII, anyone?

Ultima 8 because then 9 wouldn't be made and that whole mess of a trilogy would have ended with 7 -_-

Half-Life 3.

From the looks of it, it worked. Now and forever, it's gone.

But more seriously, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. CoD 4 was ok, it's more the sequel that's responsible for the stagnation of the past few years.

I'd remove WOW from existence. I never actually played it myself, but most of my friends did and it pretty much became all they'd do or talk about. I felt extremely alienated since I didn't play, and therefore was on the outside. It drove a wedge in our friendship. I stopped hanging out with most of those people and it pretty much ended those friendships premanently.
How fucking sad is that.
I refuse to play games that have a continual subscription fee. It gives the developer an incentive to get you addicted to the game.

I'm sure someone else has said it, and I don't feel like reading though them all, but...Superman 64. End of story.

i can understand not like 13 because, while it was a solid and fun jrpg, it didnt feel anything like a final fantasy game. but saying that final fantasy 12 was a better game? thats just a little hard for me to swallow

ET for the Atari 2600.

Just because of its importance in the industries crash in 1983... sometimes I wonder what would have happened if that game was never made...

Like would Atari still be making consoles? Probably not, but its interesting to ponder haha.
Actually, the pac-man port did more damage than E.T.

Well, it kind of does. Some concept art was leaked a while back and I think Valve confirmed it was real, and they always drop hints that they're still working on it. It's just that it's being made on "Valve Time". But when you think about it, it's not really been unusually long. There was six years between HL1 and 2, excluding all the expansions and stuff, and it's been five years since HL2 ep2. I guess that's just an example of Valve Time. So yeah, even though we always get these rumours about how HL3 is about to be announced and they never turn out to be true I think it will get revealed relatively soon. Maybe half a year to a year from now. It is coming, but people need to really relax about it.

That said, I don't really care. I've never been in to Half Life. I bought 1 and 2 in the Steam summer sale to see what the fuss was about, though. I've got a little bit in to HL1 and I didn't really like it that much. Maybe it's just not my thing, maybe it hasn't aged well, or maybe I'm just completely useless at it (I do die a lot in that game), but I'm not one of these people riding on Gaben's dick and hoping that every single tiny thing Valve hints at will be a HL3 announcement.

Final Fantasy 7.
Yeah, I know its the best game ever for some people and I can understand its influence, but I sure don't like the direction RPG took from there (all flash and no substance)... they became more obsessed with angsty teenagers trying to save the world, anime level scripts and long, unskipable cutscenes.

Dead Island. It felt awful, was balanced awful, had crap voice acting, story (or utter lack thereof), didn't offer the experience depicted in the trailer and overall was pretty crap. And it had no demo, so going purely on the awesome trailer and enthusiastic friends I burned £40 on it I could only recoup £10 of - whilst I was particularly skint.

I probably wouldn't remove any game from existence, even the ones I really hate.

Because at the end of the day that "crappy game" meant something to someone and removing it just because you didn't like x about it seems unreasonably childish. Even if you say that it is a plague on innovation or how it's destroyed the kinds of games we love, chances are the world would have just latched on to something just as (or more likely) even more terrible than said game.

Final Fantasy XI.

1) FF should NEVER be an MMO.
2) XII and XIII were both barrels of suck, and this would wipe them out as well.
