They planned to up the prices for the UK too on Modern Warfare 2, if I remember correctly.

I thought they went through with it?

I never thought to check since I bought it off steam like 2 months after it first came out.

For some reason I can't tell if they did. I never saw any going for £60, which is what I had been led to believe the price would become.

(Although, if I'm honest, its more likely the Budget - if defence and health are getting cut, I really doubt that the UK games industry wouldn't get cut)

Why? Well, this isn't a military case, it doesn't involve the SiS, it doesn't relate to the defence of the realm, so it's unlikely that this will have the 30 year official secrets act on it.

I thought the government had a lot of leeway on deciding what exactly was of enough state importance to be withheld. I definitely remember a lot of government-assisting loopholes in that act. The games industry might not be of state importance, but I wouldn't put it past them.
