Holy shit, that's pretty awesome. Now if they can integrate a treadmill type thing for running instead of leaning forward, I can see this having some real potential.
Actually, that's a great idea. It means I NEVER have to leave the house, not even for exercise!
Thank you for recognising my genius! :D
Would that actually work? Because if so then I want the blueprints and sole control of any company or product springing from this basic idea >.>

It seems to be a logical and much needed extension of the technology. No not the fact you can play WoW with it, which honestly isnt all that impressive, but the wireframe skeletal system. By creating a simplified skeletal system it seemingly has made the device infinitely more responsive.

The notion of motion is alright I guess. I still wouldnt see investing alot of time and effort into it personally. But it makes me think it should be expanded upon. Perhaps an addon for it like say, wireless gloves that can act as mappable hotkeys for a more responsive command system, and let the Kinect focus itself on the movement and animation end of the process.

Just imagine playing other keyboard based games, like i dunno gta 4, with your entire body, or for really fun effect try playing an fps (crysis, UT3, Fallout: New Vegas) or racing like the new Hot pursuit, no end to the awesomeness that would be a kinect controller.

Oh dear god, that would make dungeons, raids and battlegrounds so difficult... unless they gave Kinect players a dedicated server...

Possibly. There's a company in... Germany I think that is experimenting with putting people in giant balls wearing VR goggles, so it's just a few steps further.
Then what are we waiting for?
TO THE LAB!

So now all I can think is, "Why has nobody done this before?" Microsoft makes its Kinect controller, and suddenly new ideas are popping out of the woodwork? Where were these clever concepts before now?
I actually find it amazing that such a small device is getting such good support.

Instead of wondering where they were, it's better to be glad that they're coming now.

Im sticking with keyboard and mouse/controller for games. I can never get near one of those move-things without feeling ashamed. Why does people want to look ridiculous?

I know probably as much as you, I used to be a wow player and I'm just stating my opinion, I think it has gone on for far too long, and that they need to make a new game.

You haven't stated any opinion, since "it has gone on far too long" is not a valid argument.

AAAAW HELL NAAAW.
Keep it away!
We WoW players are not meant to be fit!

But seriously, I find it interesting that they've implemented this into World of Warcraft, and I give them props for doing so.
But come on..
That would be a train wreck, lol.

As Dana said, you didn't really give much of an opinion.
Also, I'm sticking to the fact that you don't know too much, seeing as you were talking abut WoW 2. And remember that it is changing. Constantly. Think about the expansions and patches.
You don't take games off shelves because they're old, do you?

I'm sorry but you are making yourself look like an idiot, it is a valid argument and if anybody could read I clearly stated I meant no offense, I said what I wanted to say so drop it please. I'm not in a mood for arguing. If I was I would say "LOLOL WOW GAMES SUCK!" but I did not so thank you and goodbye.

I don't know...
Does anyone really want to be doing THIS with kinnect?

I'm just saying, some things weren't meant to be motion-captured. EVER.

I actually think a hybrid form for Wow would be awesome, like, you still use the keyboard, but you can bind certain commands to hand gestures, that might actually be easier and more intuitive than trying to remember what number each command is.

No, I'm pretty sure that's you..
Back up your "argument" if you wish to not appear so.

World of Warcraft continues to be the top selling MMO in the market, 3 expansion, up-to-date patching, extremely large playerbase, have multiple servers, etc..

Why, exactly, does this game need to expand to "WoW 2."
Why would Blizzard even want to dedicate so much time to develop a new game when their old one is STILL doing the best?
