how about if your kids a fatty that isn't caused by medical conditions you just be a parent and take the games away.Protip kids have nothing you hold all the cards, all they can do is whine and scream about it, once you tune them out like you do when they are on the headsets dropping slurs and obscenities they will go outside and find some entertainment now that their dorito and gaming privileges are gone.
For dedicated gaming and dedicated gamers? Meh, it would never work as it's simply not precise and responsive enough.
For further opening up the worlds of both gaming and general PC interaction to those with various special needs? Great stuff and I hope MS gets behind some of this development with it's rather large bankroll.

but, what if they want to type, and interact with other players...you know the reasons WoW is pc only in the first place...
The Kinect already does some voice recognition on the Xbox, I can't see why it couldn't be used with voice recognition software on the PC end. I don't use voice to text software myself so I have no idea how good it is these days, but I'd imagine it would at least be workable.Lucifer dern said:

as for using the kinect to control wow id need to have the option to control it while sitting since i have no knees. Also it would need to be able to be controlled by voice, body movement, and most importantly hand signs.

Anyhow, on topic, I say neat. I think it'd be cool to play a game like Left 4 Dead with this. Run in place to move around, pretend like you've got a weapon up to your shoulder to fire, crouch to... crouch, punch to melee back (or hook would probably be cooler), and move your right hand to grab stuff. Although, this might be a game that needs a button or controller... anyhows, I think it's cool. Probably wouldn't buy it, but I'd try it.

I just spent about 10 minutes looking back and forth between my hands and my Priest's action bars trying to figure out how I would tell the thing which of my myriad of spells I want to cast when.
Furthermore, the idea of trying to switch targets in a clusterFucky pull is nightmare fuel.
